[Bug 99508] Re: Window titlebar displayed not right with compiz enabled

2008-09-30 Thread hal1984
A workaround to this problem is custom the Human theme and change the
titlebar by other one available, like the clearlooks.

[Bug 276375] [NEW] Change desktop in left border of a maximized windows, an anormal behavior.

2008-09-30 Thread hal1984
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: human-theme

I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 Alpha 6 updated at the moment of this report.
The version of human-theme package is 0.27

Compiz need to be enabled with the normal settings (mouse scroll to change
desktop).
If you maximize a window , per example, Firefox, you expect that whole the
screen, border left and border right capture the scroll of the mouse wheel, in
order, per example, move up/down the web you are viewing.
The problem is that if you move the mouse pointer to the border left of the
screen with the maximized windows (and without other windows behind) then the
mouse scroll event is captured by the desktop and change the desktop number.

I checked the problem is in the archive
/usr/share/themes/Human/metacity-1/metacity-theme-1.xml from package.
In the line 28

  distance name=left_width value=1/

the maximized windows is keeping a pixel that is captured by the
desktop. I followed the bug :
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/99508 and I think
it was a workaround that now isn't working(as many people have posted)
and have introduce this new bug. If the value is set to 0 (and also
botton_height to 0, to prevent the same in the botton side) then this
bug is over.

see this bug reported by me. Now that the border_left=1 isn't working
for many people, and that have introduced a new bug, I think is should
be restore to border_left=0.

[Bug 273581] [NEW] Window bar looks ugly with Compiz in 8.10 Alpha 6

2008-09-23 Thread hal1984
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

Using Ubuntu 8.10 Alpha 6
Using Compiz 0.77+git20080807-0ubuntu10
Using an Geforce 6200 with the nvidia drivers from the repositories.

Sometimes (very often) when I move the cursor over the title bars these
seem to corrupt in an almost empty bar.
