[Bug 431185] [NEW] pppd not connected when temporary blocked
Public bug reported: Hi I had 2 problems with pppd. First: 1) I have been trying to connect with incorrect password, and my account get blocked. Seems because was made too much of atempts, and it looked like brure force. It might be better to stop atempts, if password is invalid. 2) When account is blocked, pppd does not understand server message, and stopped atempts to connect before account is unblocked. I think it's better to parse server answer and wait xxx seconds before account gets unblocked. I have not the latest version of Ubuntu, so, not sure if bug is not fixed yet Here is log for problem 2: Sep 17 08:34:37 st504a pppd[6640]: pppd 2.4.4 started by root, uid 0 Sep 17 08:34:37 st504a pppd[6640]: PPP session is 3279 Sep 17 08:34:37 st504a pppd[6640]: Using interface ppp0 Sep 17 08:34:37 st504a pppd[6640]: Connect: ppp0 -- eth0 Sep 17 08:34:50 st504a pppd[6640]: CHAP authentication failed: You are temporary blocked.
