[Bug 1326790] [NEW] Apps do not appearreliably in Dash

2014-06-05 Thread honkitonk
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu Release: 14.04

reproduction:
1. hit Super (Windows) - Dash opens and apps and folders/files are shown
2. type one letter e.g. t - apps and folders/files with t are listed
3. press backspace - only folders/files are listed
4. type one letter e.g. t - only folders/files with t are listed
5. press backspace - apps and folders/files are listed
6. continues like 2.

So depending on what is shown before typing, there are only
folders/files listed or apps are visible too.

I'm using KDE too, but without openoffice-gnome it doesn't work. So why
shouldn't I use the package of Gnome for some days or weeks.

[Bug 82115] Impossible installation of printer with kdeprint (feisty)

2007-01-29 Thread honkitonk
Public bug reported:

It's not possible to add a printer (Brother HL 2030) that is connected via usb.
The printer is detected by kcmshell kcmusb. But kdeprint/cups can't find the
printer. The Problem could be similar to bug #59502. (the solution isn't really
understandable to me, sorry.)
Installing the driver from Brother homepage doesn't help (even with the
suggested softlinks).

[Bug 59259] Re: update fails because of fatal error

2006-09-07 Thread honkitonk
I'm using Edgy Eft 6.10

I really don't understand the reason for the failure. I simply try to
update via the update-manager. Then I get a pop-up which includes a text
that says that I'm using other repositories and if I want to accomplish
a dist-upgrade.

(The meant repository might be the repositories by the TU-Dresden.)

Then I confirm the dist-upgrade and get a messagebox with the content
above.
