[Bug 645110] Re: Maverick: Installing Extras from livecd fails to import gpg pubkey

2010-11-25 Thread infurnus
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 645436 ***

I'm receiving this error and ubuntu-extras-keyring v 2010.09.27 IS
installed. I attempted to reinstall but it still fails.

+ I installed maverick to disk with updates and enable repo from the
Maverick LiveCD

After installing and rebooting doing an update yields:

W: A error occurred during the signature verification. The repository is
not updated and the previous index files will be used. GPG error:

Fixed. I had a different key missing. I recently discovered you can use

2009-08-25 Thread infurnus
I received the same bug - right after a fresh jaunty install from the
live cd. I installed and upgraded all packages at once including snort.
This error is occured and prevents system from finishing the update - I
still have to run the update manager. Let me know what additional info
is needed I can provide.

[Bug 231524] [NEW] package update-manager 1:0.87.27 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: SystemError in cache.commit(): E:Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

Issue: update-manager crashed during gutsy to hardy update
lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu 8.04
Release:8.04

Symptoms: The terminal went wacky outputting garbage, as though it
needed to be reset, some packages failed to install and crash report was
generated although it states it is now damaged.

Duplication: As far as the terminal outputting garbage their was some
non printable characters shown below.

$ sudo head -n 6993 apt-term.log
if i -n 6992 it wont happen but any thing after the 6993rd line of this log
makes my terminal output garbage and i have to reset it.

I noticed update manager starting to go haywire after this happened.
Normally when I am prompted to overwrite a file, such as php.ini or
menu.lst, i can view the new and old files. After this happened, no
matter what option i picked it would pop backup and ask again. The
php.ini took upwards of 10-15 times of saying KEEP LOCAL COPY for it
to finally take

I have a crash report generated from linux-image-2.6.24-17-generic.0.crash.
bugs.launchpad is timing out when i report this so ill try again later but if
it relates let me know and I will attach it as well rather than a new bug.

Below was taken from the tail end of the crash report since it stated it
was damaged i opened it in gedit this is the only usable data since the
rest is base64 and will take far too long to mess with.

[Bug 207409] Re: [HARDY] xserver-xorg does not auto-configure correctly

2008-05-04 Thread infurnus
This sucks that this bug has not been updated as of yet. You would
think this would be top priority. I'll exclude additional reasonings to
avoid being redundant but it should appear as though this would be a
necessity not a want or wish list. I really would like to see the growth
of ubuntu but this won't happen by restricting/removing tools needed to
properly configure ill configs.

[Bug 117975] Re: wine guitar pro fonts unreadable

2008-01-05 Thread infurnus
you need to add fonts under ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts

2- Get some font files from a Windows box (windows/fonts/*.ttf) and
copy them to ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts (assuming you kept the
default wine setttings). I guess you can get the fonts files from
somewhere else, but this is the way I did it.

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=247869

However, the problem becomes now, white numbers. The menu is readable
but the notations are missing I have also copied the entire windows
fonts folder to Program Files/Guitar Pro 5/fonts and
~/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts. It appears this makes no difference.
