Hi Brian,

actually it was never an issue, but it seemed to me, that it would be
simple to fix - but no longer now. If you mind, you can put it to any
status you like, as it is simply a 'visual' and no functional bug.

Best Regards,

jochen

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu

activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for
 you? Thanks in advance.

[Bug 70589] daemon mounts all mountable media regardless of user interaction

2006-11-06 Thread isign
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ivman

The following scenario reproduces the bug:

If the user inserts a mountable media, like a HD or USB stick, a dialog
pops up from which the user can choose what to do with the inserted
media. If the user does not immediately choose an action, the media will
be mounted in the background by ivman. Furthermore, 'ivman' will be the
user who mounted the medium and no other user is allowed to unmount it,
except for root.

For now, I am repeating the following workaround on every machine I am using:
Edit /etc/ivman/IvmConfigActions.xml and comment out the lines right after
!-- try to mount any mountable volume at all --

Then everything works fine for me.

[Bug 58497] Re: [edge] ivman won't let nautilus eject my CD (but just one time)

My workaround is to comment out the directly following lines after
!-- try to mount any mountable volume at all --

in the file
/etc/ivman/IvmConfigActions.xml

Hi,

sorry, I did not found any bug for oprofile, therefore I reported it...
BTW, do you know, what's going on there? Is there a work around already?

Regards,

jochen

I'm not able to use oprofile in edgy. I am facing the same bug on two
different computers. I have already succesfully used it on dapper before.

It seems to be only on the live system, tested it with edgy knot 1, because
knod 2 is not booting here...
