[Bug 152726] Re: no bootsplash in Xubuntu gutsy rc
Had similar problem after installing ubuntu 7.10, after install usplash did not load and the system wouldn't start. i erased quiet splash from the boot line on grub, and loaded the system. after that i did what you suggested and also reinstalled usplash and usplash-theme-ubuntu. now the system loads fine. i guess it's because i did what you suggested only my screen resolution is 1280x800, so i changed from 1280x1024 to 1280x800 in usplash.conf . this is a critical problem if it happens with other widescreen laptops like mine. (mine is toshiba). -- no bootsplash in Xubuntu gutsy rc https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152726 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: The week numbers in gnome clock (calendar) are in the wrong side which messes up all other dates which appear under the wrong day. this happens only on hebrew interface. [Bug 119534] Re: Ubuntu Packages appear as not authenticated
It seems weird it is not official after all it was the default choice after installation. anyway as i already said the problem was fixed by choosing the default server and than the israeli server again. so i can't give you the exact message but it's the ordinary message that appears in synaptic when installing unauthenticated packages (which you dont have a key for). the israeli mirror is: http://il.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ -- Ubuntu Packages appear as not authenticated https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119534 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 117025] beryl title bar text problem
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: beryl I believe this concern only hebrew users or also other right to left languages. Normally text on the title bar appears on the center of the title bar. But when using beryl the text on the title bar appears well only if the text starts with hebrew chars, if it starts with english chars then with gtk window decoder nothing appears, and with emerald window decoder the text slides over the window. [Bug 116828] pipeline test indicator not moving
Public bug reported: In ubuntu feisty on gnome sound properties when doing test pipeline the progress indicator is not moving. when doing those exact tests through gstreamer properties all works fine. [Bug 81840] Re: roblem with headphone jack in toshiba l30-134 ( alsa )
Try doing the following: In terminal, sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/sound paste this line options snd-hda-intel model=uniwill-m31 position_fix=1 save and exit if you are are using feisty or compiled a newer version of alsa the dep_range problem is gone and you wont need position_fix=1 You may also try model=toshiba or model=6stack-digout and see if those work for you. On my laptop, toshiba l30 115, model=toshiba enabled sound from headphones only, model=uniwill-m31 enabled sound only from speakers and model=6stack-digout did not work on my model. there is another bug similar to this one look at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.20/+bug/108065 -- roblem with headphone jack in toshiba l30-134 ( alsa ) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/81840 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
