[Bug 1897965] Re: PulseAudio doesn't work when pipewire is installed (ie. KDE)
Distributor ID: Pop Description:Pop!_OS 20.10 Release:20.10 Codename: groovy pipewire version: 0.3.10-4 Unable to use USB headset. When I plug in the headset I sometimes get this error: Dec 11 14:54:10 pop-os pulseaudio[1710]: Failed to load module "module- alsa-card" (argument: "device_id="2" name="usb- Kingston_HyperX_7.1_Audio_-00" card_name="alsa_card.usb- Kingston_HyperX_7.1_Audio_-00" namereg_fail=false tsched=yes fixed_latency_range=no ignore_dB=no deferred_volume=yes use_ucm=yes avoid_resampling=no card_properties="module-udev-detect.discovered=1""): initialization failed. Other times the device initializes, but there's no output e.g. in MS Teams (even though the Settings > Sound App shows input over that device... above workaround fixes the problem immediately without rebooting or removing config: sudo systemctl stop --user pipewire # disable permanently: sudo systemctl disable --global pipewire -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1897965 Title: PulseAudio doesn't work when pipewire is installed (ie. [Bug 1192890] Re: update-manager fails to upgrade from quantal to raring No module named '_sysconfigdata_m'
Not sure this is correct, seems to be a software updater/apt-get issue that caused partial upgrade?
