[Bug 120251] Re: security check failed

2011-02-02 Thread jan-teichmann
This problem is due to your provider. Some providers reject calls if the
PDUs come from different ports. And this is what Ekiga is doing.

I will try to contact my provider because I guess that Ekiga is sip
conform and so the provider needs to adopt its configuration. But I'm
also not an expert. I just found this explanation during my own research
on the web.

[Bug 242739] [NEW] annoying mouse button behavior

2008-06-24 Thread jan-teichmann
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: emacs22

emacs 22.1.1 modified by ubuntu
ubuntu 8.04

hello,

I've a problem with the behavior of the middle mouse button. This
button is used for paste in first but also for the context-menu of the
spelling checker. That's ok, but after using the the context-menu of
the spelling checker my emacs also paste in the text from the
clipboard. And that's really annoying, because I want to correct one
word and not paste in the clipboard.
I posted this also to the usenet and they have told me, the no modified
emacs 22.x doesn't show this buggy behavior. So maybe it has its
cause in the ubuntu modifikation? Can anyone find a solution?

thank you

[Bug 236161] [NEW] patch doesnt process .patch files

2008-05-30 Thread jan-teichmann
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: patch

I'm using Ubuntu 8.04
patch version 2.5.9-4

I'm trying to patch the kernel with the hdaps-protect.patch file to
enable the Thinkpad active protection system. In the linux-source folder
I'm execute sudo patch -p1 patch-name-version.patch but nothing happens.
The program patch doesn't do anything. No error, no success message -
absolutely nothing.

I've installed the patch-dbgsym but gdb tells me that no debugging
symbols were found. I think the gdb output isn't very usefull, but I
will add it although.

Why is patch not working? Bug? Done something wrong?

cheers!
