[Bug 475704] Re: Karmic desktop livecd constant kernel ACPI exception messages: AE_LIMIT, Returned by Handler for [SystemIO] 20090521 evregion-424

2010-02-11 Thread junglist313
I should mention that I am not running the live cd, this is on a regular
install, ubuntu 9.10 fully upgraded.

** Description changed:

I booted the 64-bit Karmic Livecd on my Compaq Presario machine, and am
  constantly getting the following messages:

  [ 927.906135] ACPI Error: Illegal I/O port address/length above 64K:
0x00400020/4 20090521 hwvalid-154
[ 927.906152] ACPI Exception: AE_LIMIT, Returned by Handler for [SystemIO]
20090521 evregion-424
  [ 927.906164] ACPI Error (psparse-0537): Method parse/execution failed

[ 927.906217] ACPI Exception: AE_LIMIT, while evaluating GPE method [_L09]
20090521 evgpe-568

Perhaps unsurprisingly, it is also slow.

[Bug 469365] Re: terminatorX crashes after clicking on mouse grab button

2010-01-17 Thread junglist313
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: terminatorx

  Hi.

After loading mp3 file, clicking on power button and then clicking on
  mouse grab button terminatorX crashes:

The program 'terminatorX' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)'.
- (Details: serial 7 error_code 10 request_code 2 minor_code 0)
-   (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
-that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
-To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
-option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
-backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

[Bug 405544] Re: unable to burn CD or DVD with Brasero with 2.6.31 kernel

2009-09-27 Thread junglist313
I am having this bug as well but I don't think it is limited to brasero.
When I insert a blank cd into the drive it will not be recognized by any
program. When I go to PlacesComputerCDRW/DVDRW it says there is no
media in the drive. I have tried 3 different brands of blank cd and dvd
all with the same outcome. Polling is enabled and fstab recognizes the
drive. The drive reads media with data on it just fine. The drive was
working perfectly until yesterday. Please help this is quite
frustrating.
