[Bug 108162] Re: [feisty] No HAL volume/device info... error when add files to playlist
This was the source of reference for the last part of my posting: http://forum.beep-media-player.org/viewthread.php?tid=424 -- [feisty] No HAL volume/device info... error when add files to playlist https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108162 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 108162] Re: [feisty] No HAL volume/device info... error when add files to playlist
I am experiencing the same bug/feature. The error itself comes from these lines: src/ui-part-albums.cc:2557:_(No HAL Volume/Device Information for this File)); src/ui-part-albums.cc:2693: _(No HAL Volume/Device Information for this File)); src/ui-part-albums.cc:2793: _(No HAL Volume/Device Information for this File)); (source from bmpx-0.36.1 which matches the bmpx -v of feisty fawn version). I believe I read (on doing research into this) somewhere, RAID arrays in particular don't return HAL info. I tried an iPod (no luck there), but then I tried an NTFS mount of a WinXP partition and that mysteriously worked. -- [feisty] No HAL volume/device info... error when add files to playlist https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108162 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
