[Bug 632780] [NEW] bug in telepathy-butterfly: can't open contacts, contact list refreshes faulty
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: telepathy-butterfly After a while being connected to Windows Live Messenger network, no matter if there is or no activity on user side it happens that I can not open new contact windows from the contact list (double-clicking a contact does nothing). On the other hand, if I did open the contact windows before, I could still communicate with those contacts (if they were still online, of course). Also, when contact goes offline, it's said so in the contact list, but none of the contacts appear to be listed as online when they do come online. I don't get any pop-ups about crash, but it's obviously happening and those were the symptoms of the crash. Problem resolves when I kill the telepathy-butterfly process and then just simply reconnect through Empathy GUI. This big has been here since I first used Empathy and I can't believe it's not fixed yet.
