[Bug 2063229] Re: SATA devices on Alder-Lake S not recognized
Can we please get an update on this issue? No Alder Lake SATA drives is a big issue, and I know for other kernels this is not an issue, so must be an Ubuntu driven kernel/modules config -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2063229 Title: SATA devices on Alder-Lake S not recognized To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2063229/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1969775] Re: rbd-target-api crashes with `blacklist removal failed`
The fix proposed in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ceph- iscsi/+bug/1883112 provides a partial solution (changing the test to use bytes instead of strings). However, that in itself is insufficient since that only helps to avoid TypeError exceptions - An additional fix is needed so that the messages being checked for inclusion are changed from `blacklist` to `blocklist` (they could be added instead of removed, to be safe). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1969775 Title: rbd-target-api crashes with `blacklist removal failed` To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ceph-iscsi/+bug/1969775/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1728093] Re: [16.04, ALC3253] Dell Latitude 5289 Combo Jack Does Not Recognize Devices
After many hours of tinkering around, I made the headset with microphone to be fully recognized and working on Dell Latitude 7389! The combination was to set pin 0x21 to "Headphones" as Jeff metioned using hdajackretask. Then, setting the ALSA config to model "alc256-asus-mic" adding "options snd-hda-intel model=alc256-asus-mic" to /etc/modeprobe /alsa-base.conf. Unfortunately, this brakes the internal mic support, which was previously working... [Bug 1728093] Re: [16.04, ALC3253] Dell Latitude 5289 Combo Jack Does Not Recognize Devices
I can confirm this still occurs in Ubuntu 20.04 on my Dell Latitude 7389 (also using ALC3253). On a fresh install, the audio jack does not even recognize when a headset is connected at all. After following Jeff Conner suggestion on comment #5, it now recognizes them and sound output works as expected. However, mic of the headset is NOT working. I've tried a lot of combinations on hdajackretask unsucessfully. This is really a big issue for me, as headset usage is important on my daily work. I'm willing to help debbuging or anything to help make it work. " Logan Rathbone 2019-01-27 19:57:00 UTC In case anyone is searching the web to seek solutions, I'll put on the record that 4.20.4, with the patch as generated above, along with the UCM files that have been posted on git at https://github.com/heikomat/linux/tree/cx2072x/cx2072x_fixes_and_manual/chtcx2072x - sound is now functioning on my Asus Transformer Mini T103HA. Shouldn't really matter as I am using an updated but otherwise vanilla kernel from ftp.kernel.org, but again, for the record, this is under Slackware Current (live ISO from alienBob 1.3.0.2, 20190117). Thanks all. I hope these efforts can be merged into mainline Linux and ALSA, but I'm sure there are reasons above my head as to why they have not." [Bug 1789492] Re: suspending system causes full shutdown
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected bionic ** Description changed: Whenever I close the lid of my laptop or hit the power button, my PC is unable to suspend correctly. [Bug 1729674] Re: TB16 dock ethernet corrupts data with hw checksum silently failing
Hi. I'm a user of another distro (gentoo), and found this bug while googling for a problem I'm having. I'm using a realtek-based USB3 to RJ45 gigabit adapter. This plugs directly into my laptop (not any sort of hub as with the DELL hubs above), which is a Toshiba Radius P20W-C-103, skylake based, with the following controller: ``` 00:14.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP USB 3.0 xHCI Controller (rev 21) ``` I am experiencing this on 4.9.79-r1, and also 4.14.22. When I plug the device in, unless I disable power management on USB hubs 3 and 4, I get errors saying 'root hub lost power or was reset'. However, if I disable PM using powertop, I get the device to work seemingly well. But, as soon as I start heavy transfers (in my case distributed compile), the network device stops responding The error messages that I'm receiving are very similar to what is posted above. This is the device coming up: ``` Feb 26 20:17:09 nizuc kernel: usb usb3: root hub lost power or was reset Feb 26 20:17:09 nizuc kernel: usb usb4: root hub lost power or was reset Feb 26 20:17:41 nizuc kernel: usb 4-1: new SuperSpeed USB device number 2 using xhci_hcd Feb 26 20:17:41 nizuc kernel: usb 4-1: New USB device found, idVendor=0bda, idProduct=8153 Feb 26 20:17:41 nizuc kernel: usb 4-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=6 Feb 26 20:17:41 nizuc kernel: usb 4-1: Product: USB 10/100/1000 LAN Feb 26 20:17:41 nizuc kernel: usb 4-1: Manufacturer: Realtek Feb 26 20:17:41 nizuc kernel: usb 4-1: SerialNumber: 01 Feb 26 20:17:41 nizuc kernel: usb 4-1: reset SuperSpeed USB device number 2 using xhci_hcd Feb 26 20:17:41 nizuc NetworkManager[2049]: [1519676261.9009] manager: (eth0): new Ethernet device (/org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Devices/5) Feb 26 20:17:41 nizuc kernel: r8152 4-1:1.0 eth0: v1.09.9 Feb 26 20:17:42 nizuc mtp-probe[3673]: checking bus 4, device 2: "/sys/devices/pci:00/:00:1c.0/:01:00.0/usb4/4-1" Feb 26 20:17:42 nizuc mtp-probe[3673]: bus: 4, device: 2 was not an MTP device Feb 26 20:17:42 nizuc upowerd[2168]: unhandled action 'bind' on /sys/devices/pci:00/:00:1c.0/:01:00.0/usb4/4-1 Feb 26 20:17:42 nizuc systemd-udevd[3676]: link_config: autonegotiation is unset or enabled, the speed and duplex are not writable. [Bug 1578232] Re: ubuntu-installer/partman does not properly detect partitions on FBA device
Hello Dan, Our bridge had a "hiccup" this morning and grabbed the description and summary from a previously mirrored bug so our apologies. I update the summary and the actual description is what was displayed in comment #1. The syslog file is also correct. ** Summary changed: - Support statement for packages within Ubuntu 16.04 LTS should have the 5 Y statement + ubuntu-installer/partman does not properly detect partitions on FBA device -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1578232 Title: ubuntu-installer/partman does not properly detect partitions on FBA device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-z-systems/+bug/1578232/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1578232] Re: ubuntu-installer/partman does not properly detect partitions on FBA device
I was going to delete the initial description but since that got mirrored over to our bug, I suspect the bridge will just mirror it back. :-( -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1578232 Title: ubuntu-installer/partman does not properly detect partitions on FBA device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-z-systems/+bug/1578232/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
