[Bug 1295627] Re: Wrong language (German) after fresh install
@gunnarhj, "guessing" a locale should not use a locale used only by a very small percentage of people in Belgium. >From the format I'm going to assume it's picking the first locale it can find? In that case I would actually suggest to remote de_BE from the default locale listing as it's a very niche market, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German-speaking_Community_of_Belgium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1295627 Title: Wrong language (German) after fresh install To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1295627/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1266687] [NEW] Super+Space can not be used for switching keyboard layouts
Public bug reported: Keyboard indicator does not respond to Super+Space, the default shortcut for switching to next source. Release: 13.10 Package indicator-keyboard version 0.0.0+13.10.20131010.1-0ubuntu1 I have two layouts: English (Macintosh) and Hebrew. When pressing Super+Space, I was expecting to switch back and forth between the two. Super+Space is the default short cut. When I press Super+Space, nothing happens. When I change the setting for Switch to previous source as Alt+Super+Space, I can switch layouts. This is not set by default, AFAIK. NOTES: It is significantly more difficult for users to work out where to setup keyboard options now. AFAIK, i-bus is responsible for layout switching, though xkb is set for anything else? Though some of the old options are availabe now under Shortcuts setting, ie Compose etc., not everything is available. [Bug 891726] [NEW] Desktop freeze after failure to authenticate to WiFi
Public bug reported: After repeated failures to authenticate to WPA2 router, the desktop freezes. Also, while trying, I could not launch any other app, nor run any command at all on the command line (eg. sudo network-manager restart). After my router was switched off, I could not re-authenticate (WAP2). I get a chance to re-enter the pass phrase couple of times, but the eventually the desktop freezes if I try to cancel the operation. While in the process, I tried launching the network setting panel, or run commands from the command line (Alt+Ctl+F1), but with no luck. This is my 5-6 installation of ubuntu 11.10 on a MacBook Pro (6,2) and this behavior is very consistent and always happens eventually. As I can not access the OS anymore, I can not provide the other information required. I've updated the system with the current updates available in the official repositories, but regard less, this problem manifests it self even when runing of a vanilla installation w/o any modifications. This time around, I didn't install the restricted drives for the Broadcom chip, and was able to connect wirelessly w/o a problem. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/891726 Title: Desktop freeze after failure to authenticate to WiFi To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/891726/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 803689 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/803689 this happened to me before aswell; it's caused (in my case) by a bad screen resolution setting; or using multiple screens in extended interface -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/803755 Title: Unity does not display clock, meme_button, email_notification, and much more buttons on the right corner To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/803755/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 780204] Re: [launcher] In multimonitor setup, launcher should always be on the leftmost monitor
I'd go for implementation 1; I'm sure you have examples where having the launcher on the left monitor isn't the best way quick example: 3-monitor setup: left, primary (middle) right left = stats/uptime monitor or mail; ... always open; middle= normal working area right = some other stats/app in this case, having the launcher on the left screen is far from productive; -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/780204 Title: [launcher] In multimonitor setup, launcher should always be on the leftmost monitor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/780204/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 803697] [NEW] multitouch not working on (new) multitouch screen
Public bug reported: I bought myself a new multitouch screen, however it's like ubuntu never set itself up to use multitouch; I'm able to use single touch; but there isn't any multitouch capability I'm able to do (tried several things; also not recognized as a touchpad since 2-finger scrolling doesn't work eather AND it's not moving the mouse on touch but placing it where my finger is please fix asap or tell me what package I need to manually install/update/activate/whatever Thanks :) ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/803697 Title: multitouch not working on (new) multitouch screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/803697/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 798416] Re: unity dock got stuck
no it didn't, it was like that for over 5 minutes; also if a smaller window gets against the dock it should hide; but it didn't eather. it suddenly worked again; I think it was after closing the window that stood under the dock for a while (it didn't help to put that window away from the dock) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/798416 Title: unity dock got stuck To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/798416/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
