[Bug 1558331] Re: After upgrading to apt 1.2.7 in Xenial, PPAs and most other third-party repositories become unusable with "The repository is insufficiently signed by key (weak digest)"

2016-03-19 Thread mangouste06
google chrome repositories is one of the other.

It looks like SHA1 signing keys has been deprecated :
https://juliank.wordpress.com/2016/03/15/clarifications-and-updates-on-
apt-sha1/

Please at least add SHA2 in PPAs.

[Bug 1498945] [NEW] [libglib2.0] evolution + evolution-ews

2015-09-23 Thread mangouste06
Public bug reported:

I have two different exchange email configurated in evolution through
evolution-ews.

With

libglib2.0-0_2.45.7-1_amd64.deb
libglib2.0-bin_2.45.7-1_amd64.deb
libglib2.0-data_2.45.7-1_all.deb

it's working. I get new mails. I can send mails. Calendar OK.

But, with the new

libglib2.0-0_2.45.8-1_amd64.deb
libglib2.0-bin_2.45.8-1_amd64.deb
libglib2.0-data_2.45.8-1_all.deb

I can't even connect to the mail servers.

I can switch from working/not working and back in the same unity
session just by switching libglib versions and restarting evolution.

I'm in wily uptodate.

[Bug 1430230] Re: Log flooding with warning message when using linux-lowlatency kernel

2015-03-12 Thread mangouste06
I have this exact same problem. My computer logs :

WARNING: CPU: 3 PID: 659 at
/build/buildd/linux-3.19.0/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_display.c:9705

continually with the 3.19.0-7 and 3.19.0-8 kernels in the -lowlatency kind.

It occurs sometime while resuming from pause in the -generic kind of
kernel.

I concur : https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89321 seems to
have the answer. Even a patch there.

[Bug 1363798] Re: Evolution-EWS 3.12 causes Evolution to hang Utopic

2014-09-18 Thread mangouste06
Ok, the evolution-ews just appeared in the proposed pocket.

I updated it, removed all evolution process still running in my ubuntu,
and started.

The same behaviour : the main evolution window doesn't appear. I see the
process in a ps. I get meeting notification.

Exchange account is not even configurated. I changed for imap.

Just removing evolution-ews makes the main window (with the mail list,
and the calendar tab) appear, once evolution restarted.

[Bug 1363798] Re: Evolution-EWS 3.12 causes Evolution to hang Utopic

2014-09-02 Thread mangouste06
I had the same problem. The GUI simply doesn't show. Everything seems
to work.

I upgraded from trusty, where my EWS configuration was OK.

I Just removed Evolution-EWS. Restarted, setup IMAP+ accounts, and the
GUI is back. Less the EWS features...

[Bug 246141] Re: no support for realtek rtl8187se

2008-10-28 Thread mangouste06
post a step by step guide to installing the driver Coffelius has
posted?

Simple :

 - apt-get install build-essential
 - if you're running the -generic flavour of your kernel : apt-get install
linux-header-generic . Otherwise, you should know which header you need. Maybe
type 'uname -a' to find out ?

 - download
http://msi-wind-linux.googlecode.com/files/rtl8187se_linux-04.tar.bz2 or the
latest available on http://code.google.com/p/msi-wind-linux/
 - tar jcvf rtl8187se_linux-04.tar.bz2
 - cd rtl8187se_coffee/

 - ./makedrv
 - ./wlan0up
 - test all you want.
 - ./wlan0down

 - if it's good enough for you : ./install

My thanks go to coffelius for its work ...

[Bug 246141] Re: no support for realtek rtl8187se

2008-10-19 Thread mangouste06
Yes david, you're right. Jockey takes de modules we put into
/lib/modules/$(uname -s)/rtl8185 in consideration and acts on it.

Message 'Supported by ubuntu team' seems a location based message. And we put
our modules in /lib/modules...

But this directory doesn't exist in the kernel modules right now.

I just removed rtl8185 from /lib/modules/$(uname -s).

***
The one created with :
  sudo mkdir -p /lib/modules/`uname -r`/rtl8185
  sudo cp ieee80211/*.ko rtl8185/*.ko /lib/modules/`uname -r`/rtl8185/

You have to re-compile, reinstall the driver ...

Until the driver is officially integrated into the kernel by the
ubuntu kernel team.

someone for a dkms package? Like the one for virtualbox?

Why invalid ?

There's is still no out of the box support for realtek rtl8187se
minipci wifi hardware despite the fact we have a working kernel
module.

This hardware is the one found in all the msi wind U100, and the 27

I connect to WPA2 without problem. It needs an incredible amount of
time, when it connects. One just needs to be patient.

Could you send us the relevant part of /var/log/messages ?

I mean :

Open a shell,
type 'tail -f /var/log/messages' .
Try to connect.
When it fails, send what has appeared in the shell.
To quit 'tail -f', it's CTRL+c.

2008-10-03 Thread mangouste06
I just followed the previous instruction :

 - sudo apt-get install build-essential
 - wget http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?pavvaazisj1
 - tar -xzvf rtl8187se_linux_26[1].1022.0904.2008_Release.tar.gz
 - cd rtl8187se_linux_26.1022.0904.2008
 - wget http://launchpadlibrarian.net/18091767/rtl8187se_2.6.27.patch
 - patch -p1 patch_rtl8187se_2.6.27
 - ./makedrv
 - sudo ./wlan0up

Wait a bit. You should see life on the side of your networkmanager ...

the link is strong, and stay strong.

It has worked on a freshly converted hardy to intrepid, on a MSI Wind
U100

I'm happy.

Now, I'm looking to make the wifi connection come up during boot.

PS : It's better for me to write it down while it's fresh...

I didn't compile the kernel. I simply used the ubuntu kernel available

I wrote all the taken actions in the little sum up from this morning.

By the way, the first wget won't work. you need to download it from
the file server.

to make you're connection available durring boot, you just have to copy
the kernel modules where they should go, eg:

 mkdir -p /lib/modules/$(uname -s)/rtl8185
 cp ieee80211/*.ko rtl8185/*.ko /lib/modules/$(uname -s)/rtl8185/

Thanks, I'll try this this afternoon.

to an isa proxy...

The way I see it, you configurate synaptic to access ntmlaps, which in turn
accesses your isa proxy.

, I am realy sorry for that, you guys have done a great job on making
this system work and that saved me a lots of money as many other people
around the world, I am very sorry for that I shouldnt say that at all.

I didnt find a solution yet someone must know how to do it.

I hope that the next edition will make this easy to setup, I mean like
the Firefox you enter the proxy seting then when you execute the package
download an authentification window apear for username and password (you
 know.. like firefox).

My appologies to what I said .

Ubuntu is the only Operating system on my personal machines since a year
from now, and I am very happy for that.

Yesterday after the upgrade and a reboot, I lost my orinoco controled Wifi
