[Bug 1647517] Re: Segmentation fault on core snap refresh from candidate channel

2017-01-11 Thread Manik Taneja
The crash looked very similar to the go crash that I had filed earlier.
Unfortunately, I don't have the kvm anymore to gather any additional
logs. I'll make sure to collect it next time I hit this bug.

If you are not using OpenAFS, you can just uninstall the openafs-client
package. If you are, you need to install the openafs-modules-dkms
 package.

In any case, Ubuntu 13.04 reached end of life on January 27, 2014.
 Please upgrade to 13.10.

[Bug 882120] Re: reiserfs module missing in linux-image-virtual

2011-10-28 Thread manik
I installed linux-image-extra-virtual
When I ls /lib/modules/3.0.0-12-virtual/kernel/fs/reiserfs/
I can see reiserfs.ko is there.
However modprobe reiserfs
produces FATAL: Module reiserfs not found.
and my reiserfs disks are still not mountable.

[Bug 549801] Re: USB WiFi adapter with rt2870 chipset won't connect

2010-10-19 Thread manik
I had this issue some months ago with 10.04 and I came across this
thread. I followed the steps above to blacklist rt2800usb and then
installed the backports compat wireless package and things worked fine.

Today, I upgraded to 10.10 and it all fell apart again. I made sure I
had the correct backports package, tried both with and without
blacklisting rt2800usb, still won't work. Interestingly, NetworkManager
does actually detect the device and does detect various access points -
but is just unable to connect to any of them.

Has anyone tried this with 10.10?
