[Bug 392477] Re: [needs-packaging] OpenCPN

2010-06-14 Thread maxstirner
Hello Brendan,

there's still some issues with the licensing of a few files last time I
checked. I also haven't heard from Anton (above) re: the status of the
package.

There's a thread here which may help you with your issue
http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/f134/ubuntu-10-4-and-
opencpn-40856.html. Otherwise post your problems over there.

The build process has been changed to cmake, instructions here:
http://opencpn.org/compiling_source_linux

Have you tried the precompiled package on opencpn.org?

[Bug 532633] Re: [light-theme] please revert the order of the window controls back to menu:minimize, maximize, close

2010-03-16 Thread maxstirner
As far as I understand this was all under wraps right up to the freeze -
zero user consultation.

What happened to consistency? Perhaps one should focus on getting the
desktop experience nice and solid instead of changing the desktop search
engine, messaging client, window buttons, photo manager, music manager,
and background image every single time.

Thanks for your attention

It may be helpful to explain that I am using ubuntu one on two

[Bug 392477] [NEW] [needs-packaging] OpenCPN

OpenCPN: A concise ChartPlotter/Navigator. A cross-platform ship-borne
GUI application supporting * GPS/GPDS Postition Input * BSB Raster Chart

This software is a free software alternative to commercial GPS-based

Most of the standard functions are available for common nautical chart
formats and the programme is fully functional as it stands. The package
is under active development.
