[Bug 1605960] [NEW] When sending an email the "From" field does not contain a valid adress

2016-07-24 Thread mb74
Public bug reported:

I'm using kmail 5.1.3 (kubuntu 16.04 and kubuntu backports ppa).
In kmail a gmail account is configured and is the default.
When I create new mail only my name is shown in the "From" field: surename name
<>
When I reply a mail then "From" field is empty.

[Bug 1605959] [NEW] Non existent audio sink device is selected by default

2016-07-24 Thread mb74
Public bug reported:

I've configured by headset as the default device in KDE sound settings by
dragging it to the top in the list of available sink devices because I want to
have it as the default device when it is connected. But when I reboot the
system and even the headset is not connected the headset is chosen by default
anyway.
The expected behavior is that pulseaudio selects the first connected/available
device in the list of sink devices.

[Bug 1605957] [NEW] System hangs for 90 seconds on boot waiting for devices

2016-07-24 Thread mb74
Public bug reported:

I'm using kubuntu 16.04 with kubuntu backports ppa enabled. All updates are
installed.
Since one of the latest updates the boot process hangs for 90s. Pressing ESC
shows that the system is waiting for 2 devices. 1 seems to be an UUID which is
not present in fstab and the other one is cryptswap.

[Bug 1267650] Re: fglrx causes segmentation fault on boot

2015-01-24 Thread mb74
I've exactly the same problem. Ubuntu 14.04 all updated. Tried fglrx,
fglrx-updates an Catalyst 14.12 Omega from AMD homepage. All versions
segfault on boot. Only the open source driver runs fine out of the box.
But playing highend games with the open source driver is not possible.
Performance too low :-(

My hardware: Lenovo G500 Core i5 and Radeon HD 8670A/8670M/8750M.
Please help!

[Bug 1304805] Re: KDE desktop login failure: Could not start d-bus. Can you call qdbus?

2014-09-10 Thread mb74
I do not understand why this bug is still present!!! I upgraded from 12.04 to
14.01.1 right after the point release. After the upgrade I couldn't start KDE
because of a buggy startkde script. Yesterday I upgraded again this package and
startkde is still buggy!
In line 'alias qdbus=QT_SELECT=qt4 qdbus' the double quotes have to be
removed.
My question to the package maintainer: Do you read the bug reports and do you
test your changes?
14.04 is an LTS release and such a grave bug must not happen.

[Bug 1093791] [NEW] xhci_hcd fails detecting SD-cards

2012-12-26 Thread mb74
Public bug reported:

I've got a multi card reader in my PC connected to an USB 3.0 slot. When
I plug in an SD-card and copy some pictures from my SD-card to the local
drive, everything works fine. But when I remove the SD-card and plug in
the same or any other SD-card no device/drive is detected. The syslog
only shows the following output:

Dec 26 13:20:50 bender kernel: [ 1691.981335] xhci_hcd :03:00.0: WARN Event
TRB for slot 1 ep 3 with no TDs queued?
Dec 26 13:20:50 bender kernel: [ 1691.981409] xhci_hcd :03:00.0: WARN Event
TRB for slot 1 ep 2 with no TDs queued?
Dec 26 13:20:50 bender kernel: [ 1691.981488] xhci_hcd :03:00.0: WARN Event
TRB for slot 1 ep 0 with no TDs queued?
Dec 26 13:20:50 bender kernel: [ 1692.085341] xhci_hcd :03:00.0: WARN Event
TRB for slot 1 ep 0 with no TDs queued?

Interestingly USB sticks are still detected on the same USB 3.0 port, but
SD-cards not.
To be able to detect SD-cards again I have to reboot the PC.
This bug only shows up when I copy some files. When I only plug in and remove
SD-cards several times this bug does not occur.
For me it seems to be a bug in the data transfer code for SD-cards.

2012-06-06 Thread mb74
Public bug reported:

I've installed 12.04 with home encryption for all users.
I've disabled the guest user.
I've added two other users B and C (A is me).
1) A logs in.
2) C logs in via the user switcher applet.
3) Switch back to A. In user switcher I can't see that C is logged in. Also
who shows only my user.
4) B logs in via the user switcher applet.
5) Switch back to A. In user switcher I can't see that B and C are logged in.
Also who shows only my user.
6) Switch to C. In user switcher I CAN see that A, B and C are logged in. Also
who shows the correct list.
7) Switch to B. In user switcher I can see that A and B are logged in, but not
C. Also who shows only users A and B.

2010-06-18 Thread mb74
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: me-tv

[Bug 587427] [NEW] dkms fails with newest version of the package fglrx in lucid

2010-05-30 Thread mb74
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: fglrx

After upgrading to latest version 2:8.732-0ubuntu0sarvatt2~lucid dkms fails
with error 6. The consequence is that building the fglrx module fails. When
compiz is enable logging in fails. The reason for this problem is a bug in the
file arch_fglrx_2.6.34.patch.
The first 2 lines contain a patch which doesn't exist.

After I've changes these lines to:

--- a/kcl_wait.c2010-04-13 20:02:46.494496561 +0200
+++ b/kcl_wait.c2010-04-13 19:52:00.054563389 +0200

Having exactly the same problem. But the problem seems to be more
complicated, because killing the modem-manager is not enough to get
online again. Also reloading the module doesn't solve the issue. Only
rebooting fixes it.

[Bug 387460] [NEW] PMT ID for channel not found

2009-06-15 Thread mb74
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: me-tv

I've observed this bug in version 0.9.3-beta1.
When I use the old db-file then all channels work perfectly. But when I use the

0.9.3-beta1 then I get the error PMT ID for channel not found for all
channels.

[Bug 387460] Re: PMT ID for channel not found

2009-06-15 Thread mb74
The channels were scanned with an external program and exported to
channels.conf. Then I modified the file by hand and here is the result:
PULS

I had to change some parameters to AUTO to get all channels working.
Then I imported these channels in me-tv. All of these channels work perfectly.

[Bug 267047] Re: cpufreq applet doesn't draw anything (white square) in gnome-panel

2009-02-08 Thread mb74
I've found the problem now. If this bug ever appears again the following
addition would fix it:
In file cpufreq-applet.c at line 881 add the following line:
if (0 == label_size) return;
Then compile and install the new applet.
The problem source is that gnome sometimes calls the callback- and
init-functions in the wrong order.
