[Bug 1080701] Re: After 'Preparing to install Ubuntu' screen, raring installation hangs
AMD890FXchipset. I also have this problem upgrading or clean install, it drops to busybox. I can wait forever and type exit, same result, no disk drives in /dev except my CDROM.. Kernel 3.8 does not see any of my HDDs. Kernel 3.5 works very well in Raring. This kernel is a show stopper for me. I have uploaded the output from lshw. How can i help to investigate this problem further? ** Attachment added: AMD890FX.txt https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1080701/+attachment/3581968/+files/AMD890FX.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1080701 Title: After 'Preparing to install Ubuntu' screen, raring installation hangs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubiquity/+bug/1080701/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I think the problem is bigger because i have downloaded the latest dayly build and booted off the cd. The installer and also Try Ubuntu don't see any of my hdds. [Bug 1154972] Re: after update-initramfs -u the system boot to busybox shell
I have this bug also after upgrading to Raring. I have also tried 0.103ubuntu0.7 and rebuild the initramfs. No luck, at boot it drops to busybox and exit command does nothing, it spawns busybox again. At /dev/disks i have only the dvd drive, not a single hdd is shown. If i boot the system with the old kernel from 12.10 (3.5.0.26) all is working great.
