[Bug 1096625] [NEW] automatically running on a exe file not fully downloaded causes all memory consumption

2013-01-06 Thread mezclatebrother!
Public bug reported:

Whell, downloading a GOG game (obviously for windows, wine is my
friend), with nautilus opened, gnome-exe-thumbnailer was eating all
memory and cpu resources with an exe.part file (a big exe one). I think
that is not really healthy run gnome-exe-thumbnailer until finish the
download proccess. Well, killing gnome-thumbnailer doen't work becouse
other one is launched; only closing nautilus avoids this (but if you
save the file in the desktop and you have the show desktop icons
gnome-tweak's option, you are unable to close nautilus and only killing
is the solution).

Sorry for my bad english.

Re: [Bug 341675] Re: I couldn't use my gpen 4500 tablet

2009-08-08 Thread mezclatebrother!
Well, the mouse that comes with tablet works fine, and if I do cat
/dev/input/evetsX, I can see that pen works at this level. But I can't do
it work to draw with. I didn't have more idea about it. There's something
that can help you with this?

2009/8/7 Kamus kamu...@gmail.com

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description
didn't include enough information. We'd be grateful if you would then
provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions for debugging this problems at
 https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingHardwareDetection

 At a minimum, we need:
 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
 problem,
 2. the behavior you expected, and
 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
 Thanks!

Re: [Bug 339263] Re: drivemount_applet2 crashed with SIGSEGV in g_simple_async_result_complete()

2009-03-11 Thread mezclatebrother!
Well, there are some problems.

At first time, it seems to load the applet twice? or some else (see the
screenshot attached). It works fine, even you can unmount this without
problems, from the applet or from the link in the desktop. But if you try to
mount one more time, you can't unmount from the applet button, the applet
crash (the link in the desktop seems to work).

1.- duplicated camera applet icon.
2.- problems when you try to mount-unmount repeatedly.

Now i'm using...

 using the new gvfs version?

 Ubuntu 9.04

When i plug my camera, it shows two camera icons on the mount applet. The
error happen when i try to unmount one of them.

In other hand, when i plug the camera, it shows a dialog (similar to
windows one) which ask me what to do with. If i cancel this dialog and/or
try to open with other cam programs as gtkam, it could not open the camera
becouse it is mounted. I think that the correct way to work is not mount the
camera until i say view photos or similar in that dialog.

It Seems that lastest updates fix this point however. Thanks for all.

2009/3/6 Tim Bosse t...@bosboot.org

If you don't mind, we need to gather a bit more information to help
 determine how to proceed.

Seeing as you are able to determine this isn't specific pulseaudio, we
can start by following the instructions at

 https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingSoundProblems#Automatic%20Sound%20Information%20Collection
 .

Can you please go to http://alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh, download the
shell script and run it as bash alsa-info.sh and copy the URL it
returns into this ticket? Please let me know if you need help with this
 step.

Seeing as I am also experiencing a similar issue, here is my output:

Re: [Bug 328531] Re: r350 freeze starting X with radeon driver

2009-03-01 Thread mezclatebrother!
I'm sorry. I really think that this crash was caused by radeon driver. I
swith between radeon and vesa to check the first one and to start normally
and send reports. In other hand, i am not working with that pc and
unfortunatly i can't make any probe.

2009/2/27 Bryce Harrington br...@bryceharrington.org

Hmm, according to that log you're actually using the vesa driver, not
radeon. So I guess you have two bugs - one that radeon is not running,
and the other that vesa crashes. Which of the two would you like to
focus on in this bug report? I'd encourage filing a second bug about
 the other issue.

For the vesa crash, please collect a full backtrace - see
 http://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Backtracing for directions.

For the failure to boot radeon, we'll need an Xorg.0.log from an attempt
at booting that. It should show RADEON in the log. Look in your
Xorg.0.log.old. Also, check to see if any of your logs in
 /var/log/gdm/* have error messages.

I have started with ubuntu 5.04 livecd several times and always work fine. I
don't have now higher versions to try with, but i am sure that 6.04 and also
6.10 works too. The problem starts with 7.04, i think. And it could be not
an ubuntu bug, with last fedora also happens.

2009/2/22 ciaran.mooney general.moo...@googlemail.com

 Hi.

Since it has developed recently it could still be a hardware problem. Try
using an old version that you know worked. If it works in an older version
of a distro then it is a bug, otherwise it could still be a hardware fault.

With older versions of ubuntu (and other linux ones), it works fine. Maybe
some change in the keyboard detection or so. I remember that it works well
in dapper and fedora 8, suse 10. After that, recently i have launched the
newer fedora livecd and fails. In windows never fail.

2009/2/21 ciaran.mooney general.moo...@googlemail.com

 Hi,

Does they keyboard stop working at random times in Windows, or does it
 work without any problem?

Are you sure this is not a hardware problem? It could be the keyboard
plug, or the connection to the motherboard. Try another keyboard, and
see if that solves the problem.

Well, mi linux randomly recognize my ps/2 keyboard. Bios, Grub and
Windows always do that, but linux miss the keyboard sometimes. It
happens at start, before the ubuntu load screen (i try to go to any
console with ctrl-alt-fx). I don't know if there are some log file or
something to send you more info.

It happens from 7.10 to now (jaunty 9.04 development)

[Bug 326867] [NEW] my r350 radeon freezes in gdm and X (black screen) with free driver

2009-02-08 Thread mezclatebrother!
Public bug reported:

well, there are some old bugs similar to this but it seems to be fixed.
Using the radeon driver, my r350 freeze the computer loading gdm, before
nothing appears. If i bypass gdm load and from console use startx
freeze as well. In the /var/log/Xorg.0.log seems to load all correct,
there are no errors, and it loads all devices after the display.

i'm 9.04 user. In previous relases, it loads gdm but freezes in white
after show the mouse pointer.

I supose that you need some more information, but i don't know what or
how obtain it.
