If id just disconnects wifi or ethernet cable everything return to normal. Which make sending report very difficult. Seems like this is not a wifi driver issue. Hi, Thank you for taking care of this issue. Did the sudo apt-get install --reinstall insserv sysv-rc. As there were many error messages before the two lines : Setting up insserv (1.12.0-14ubuntu0.2) ... Setting up sysv-rc (2.87dsf-4ubuntu17.5) ... I tried an update with the Update manager that produced seamingly the same errors as before. Tried a second time with sudo apt-get install --reinstall insserv sysv-rc. The output in terminal below. Is it right that insserv and sysv-rc to be reinstalled should come from the lucid package ? This solution is bad. It's sound like if you have headache when cutt your head. For example if I disable power saving options then I dont need running long task my laptop never suspend. it's not comfortably. In windows with uTorrent client laptop never sleep while traffic go on. Hibernate posible if no program activity. I guess this system disain problem. Also then watching youtube flash with long video I have too screensaver. I think good idea if something running on fullscreen disable screensaver timer. I know whats it's problem with ICH6 in soulution need and string in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf options snd-hda-intel model=z71v position_fix=1 (I have no idea why whis string apsond by default this problem old as mamonts.) And after I have sound in headphones and speaker, I can select SPDIF or Analog output in gnome sound controll. After removing the quirk and installing the linux-alsa- driver-modules both the integrated and external microphones does not work. IMPORTANT INFORMATION! I have tried live versions (final release) of Ubuntu and Kubuntu Lucid (10.04 LTS): Ubuntu Lucid worked perfectly with UDF volume; in contrast, Kubuntu Lucid give the same error as Kubuntu Karmic and Mint Helena KDE. Since both distributions of Lucid (Gnome and KDE) have the same kernel (2.6.32-21-generic), I think the problem is related with the desktop manager (and some particular hardware: as I told previously, the problem was only with my laptop, not my desktop computer).
