I have the same problem when I clicked the icon of nautilus browser on the 
dashboard on the left side.
This problem is disappeared when I try repeat the same actions twice.

Just try open calendar, but when click on the icon "calendar" become
anything, and about 2-3 days Ubuntu is crashed with shutdown PC.
