[Bug 550625] Re: Alps touchpad is recognized but synaptics clients and scrolling do not work

2011-09-02 Thread nbubis
florian, you might need to upgrade your kernel to 3.0.* for it to work.

The easiest way is to upgrade to oneiric, but you might want to wait
until the final version comes out. Alternativly, you could just upgrade
the kernel and try out the patch.

2011-09-01 Thread nbubis
Seth,

It works!! Thank you so much!

Note to testers: in order for changes to take effect, you should also
change the configuration under the mouse touchpad window in Ubuntu.

What works:

Dell E6410, running Ubuntu Oneiric beta 1.
two-finger scrolling, vertical + horizontal scrolling, two-finger zoom.

[Bug 438296] [NEW] recent partial upgrade (karmic) uninstalls anjuta

2009-09-28 Thread nbubis
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: anjuta

Hi all,
the recent upgrade this morning uninstalls anjuta.
When trying to re-install the anjuta package through synaptic I get:

anjuta:
  Depends: anjuta-common (=2:2.27.5.0-0ubuntu2) but 2:2.27.5.0-0ubuntu3 is to
be installed

It seems the dependencies have to be updated to 2:2.27.5.0-0ubuntu3
just like anjuta-common.

I'm working with the latest karmic on a 64 bit machine.

Thanks for all the great work,
Nati.

[Bug 401272] Re: Karmic WPA connection disconnects regularly

Hi,

I'm still experiencing this bug on karmic (as of Aug 29). Wireless works
great with unsecured networks but disconnects about once a minute on
secured WPA networks. I've tried running sudo service apparmor stop as
suggested by some - but the problem persists.

I'm running the 2.6.31-8 (x86_64) kernel, with hardware listed as:

Ethernet controller : Broadcom Corporation NetLink BCM5906M Fast Ethernet

[Bug 306014] Re: HAL does not apply ACL on DRM device

2009-01-21 Thread nbubis
the above fix doesn't work for me - still no non-root permissions for
/dev/dri/card*.

I'm running hal (0.5.12~rc1+git20090120-0ubuntu1) on a fresh Jaunty
install and the line:

merge key=access_control.file
type=copy_propertylinux.device_file/merge

already appears in /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/20-acl-

Of course if I manually change permissions and do a kill -9 -1 then I
get hardware rendering working until the next reboot.

Hey all,

I'm having similar problems after upgrading to jaunty alpha 2. I'm using a dell

glxgears has a frame rate of around 120 fps, but 3d games show a frame rate of
