[Bug 1895584] [NEW] fstab does not schedule fsck

2020-09-14 Thread ne1
Public bug reported:

Current live server installer (20.04 / 20.04.1) creates fstab which never
schedules fsck.
when actual power failure occurs half of systems dont boot, other half come up
with scary errors in boot log.
fstab manual (in "mount" package) says explicitly that / filesystem whould be
with fsck preference 1 and other disk-based filesystems with 2, if that is
corrected, in cases from external boot media, fsck and good system boot
proceeds correctly

PS package "mount 2.34-0.1ubuntu9 amd64" cannot be selected in the box
above

[Bug 1834651] [NEW] cannot completely disable sched autogroup

2019-06-28 Thread ne1
Public bug reported:

man 7 sched says:
If autogrouping is disabled, then the root task group consists of all processes
in the root CPU cgroup.

In the meantime, no matter the autogrouping disablements
cat /proc/*/autogroup
Still shows processes being classified.
Can anyone sched some light on this discrepancy:
a) the autogrouping cannot be disabled
b) even disabled there is unnecessary process classification taking place

[Bug 1828407] Re: mysql_ssl_rsa_setup generates server-key.pem inacessible by mysqld

2019-05-10 Thread ne1
Default is enabled from mysql data directory
https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/creating-ssl-rsa-files-using-mysql.html
One can override that with parameters you mentioned (and use CA signed keys as
opposed to default opportunistic attempt)

I will check with upstream and return if I have something.

[Bug 1828407] [NEW] mysql_ssl_rsa_setup generates server-key.pem inacessible by mysqld

2019-05-09 Thread ne1
Public bug reported:

 5.7.26-0ubuntu0.18.04.1
MySQL 5.7 should sort of automatically get around with SSL key generation.
The problem is that included mysql_ssl_rsa_setup script creates
/var/lib/mysql/server-key.pem with rw permissions for root
But it has to be readable by mysqld to be of any usefulness

say "chown :mysql" and "chmod g+r" solved it for me.
I wonder if this can be included in the script mentioned so that it works out
of the box.
askubuntu etc is filled with 'advice' to go to mysql official doc which does
not help, as the recommendations henerate limited permission files again.

By default:
[Warning] Failed to set up SSL because of the following SSL library error: SSL
context is not usable without certificate and private key

after mysql_ssl_rsa_setup:
[ERROR] SSL error: Unable to get private key from 'server-key.pem'

after chown fix:
[Warning] CA certificate ca.pem is self signed.

[Bug 1814868] [NEW] ifupdown2 replaces (conflicts) with ifupdown but offers no startup config

2019-02-06 Thread ne1
Public bug reported:

Issue 1 technical:
18.04.1, did not check others. Installing ifupdown 2 ( to expand vlan
interfaces from template loop ) removes ifupdown. and does not config
interfaces at boot.

Also online manual page seems to suggest ifupdown2 with py-mako installed as
default one.
https://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/bionic/man5/interfaces.5.html

It is quite easy to repeat - just add a single no-function VLAN (iface
eno1.999 inet manual) to any network adapter, observe it added via
ifupdown, install ifupdown2 (the other is removed down the road) ,
reboot as much as you want, nothing at boot.

[Bug 946677] Re: UMS dri support missing for r200

2012-07-06 Thread ne1
I stumbled upon same issue with PowerBook 5,6 / kubuntu 11.04
It does not seem obvious from the error complaining about exports (like library
functions missing), but you can add boot option radeon.modeset=1 to enable KMS,
AIGLX and other fun.
