According to the developer Alex Deucher, The current HDMI code causes blank screens on a lot of systems if audio is enabled. Until that gets fixed properly, I thought it better to disable it. [Bug 551090] Re: drag and drop bookmark functionality broken
Firefox 10.0.2 and Ubuntu 10.10 user. Same issue - every once in awhile the bookmarks will not allow drag and drop. I just discovered that (on my system at least) the bug can be initiated by visiting Pandora radio for some reason. Perhaps it's something to do with Flash player? 3 times I reproduced same results: drag and drop works fine and then the instant you visit Pandora it suddenly stops working. It's one of those bugs that crops up seemingly randomly - so perhaps being able to reproduce it on demand can help nail down what's causing it... I hope it helps anyway -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/551090 Title: drag and drop bookmark functionality broken To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/551090/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I'v tried: in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf options snd-hda-intel position_fix=1 or options snd-hda-intel bdl_pos_adj=32 also try in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf to change default-fragments = 5 default-fragment-size-msec = 25 the problem still present. BTW i observe that stuttering is present on high bandwidth sound files at the 64-128Mbps mp3s i have no problems with playback. -- [Realtek ALC889A] Playback problem, stuttering audio video https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/587185 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 432594] [NEW] Nvidia 180 driver fail on compiz
Public bug reported: Hello, I have noticed this bug for some time now and its time to create a report. When i am using my desktop effects with compiz, the nvidia driver sometime crashes randomly. I have no idea what is causing this though. I am using the standard effects in linux and the recommended nvidia driver version 180. I have included my xorg logs, i cant really find other indicators. dmesg and the kernel logs are clean. The driver fails on my nVidia Quadro FX 770M chip. In my HP Elitebook 8530w. I am going to install the beta 190 drivers, when the problem is solved i will delete this thread. In the logs included you see errors with: (II) NVIDIA(0): Initialized GPU GART. [Bug 386150] Re: Nautilus file browser toolbar is complicated, redundant, and ugly
The stop button should not be removed without replacement. I like the way evolution displays its current actions and provides a button to abort each of them - in the status bar. That way, no (mostly greyed out) stop button is required in the toolbar, and current actions can be aborted right where they are being displayed. [Bug 380341] Re: HP mini 2140 sometimes fails to recognize keyboard and trackpad
I can confirm this too. I am under the impression that this issue arises more often when booting with the lid closed and/or when being disconnected from the power-supply.
