[Bug 932177] Re: XFCE (and other non-GNOME) desktops do not initialise gnome-keyring correctly / WARNING: gnome-keyring:: couldn't connect to PKCS11

2012-12-11 Thread oleibrock
I ran into same issue after I removed my ecrypt'ed $HOME and tried to start
conky some apps using wine.

$ conky -c /home/x/.conky/conky-autostart
WARNING: gnome-keyring:: couldn't connect to: /tmp/keyring-YiWUvh/pkcs11: No
such file or directory

I use UbuntuStudio 12.04.1 LTS ; lightdm ; xfce 4.8.

I do only see a gnome-keyring-daemon process.

I followed the workaround with /etc/pkcs11/modules/gnome-keyring-module
file edit, which did not solve it either.

[Bug 500947] Re: Brasero won't burn Dvd

2010-01-16 Thread oleibrock
No, dvdauthor is not installed, even that I doubt that brasero needs dvdauthor.
The more I read the manuals the more I think
brasero is a dependency for dvdauthor and not vice versa. Also I do want to
burn and ISO image with raw data and not a movie.

I have installed dvd+rw-tools which is used by brasero and others.

I will test it with ubuntu-restriced-extras.

2010-01-06 Thread oleibrock
This bug affects me either.

My Laptop: Acer Ferrari 5005 WLHI with Toshiba TS L802A DVD ROM

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description:Ubuntu 9.10
Release:9.10
Codename: karmic
Architecture: i386

I can burn CD-ROM like the Ubuntu alternate CD image with brasero, but
can't burn any DVD. I tried differrent DVD manufacturs as well as DVD-R
and DVD+R. I also tried to burn a CD-ROM image to a DVD without success.

I have attached a screenshot with the typical message and it will follow my
lshal output, my lshw outpout along with
the brasero-debug.txt.

Thanks

Hi all,

Keyboard is working some time in both environments (vmware session eqaul

Only chance to fix was to logout and login again.

sudo setxkbmap saved my live from today on.

Thanks for this.

[Bug 185417] keyboard not working after hibernate on ASUS LAptop

2008-01-23 Thread oleibrock
Public bug reported:

I have my ASUS laptop running with
uname -a
Linux xxx 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Tue Dec 18 08:02:57 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
and being able to do a hibernate. My problem is that when I want to resume from
hibernate it seem to work fine, but I am not able to use the laptop keyboard
anymore. no single key is working only the touchpad.

All I can do is a hard shutdown by pressing the powerbutton for 10 sec.
The reboot afterwards will work fine with no problems.

Same Problem on a Acer Ferrari 5005WLHi AMD Turion 64bit X2 2.0GHz
Processor, 2 GB RAM, 160GB S-ATA HDD, Toshiba DVDW/HD TS-L802A Laptop
with 6.06 LTS amd64 installed.

Used the python cdcaps.py /dev/hda and it worked partial, means I can now sudo
mount /dev/hda /cdrom and work with the CD/DVD. No Dekstop Icon and still get
first the this is a blank CD/DVD popup and the dmesg output:
cdrom: This disc doesn't have any tracks I recognize!

Interessting is at my Laptop that the HDD is on /dev/sda and the CD/DVD
drive on /dev/hda Does this make any differrence ?
