[Bug 1861459] Re: fullsreen video behaves strangely when on fractional scaling and removing keyboard dock of 2in1 Toshiba z20
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1862081 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1862081 Thanks for commenting, Daniel! You may be right - the strange thing for me was the effect of the keyboard-dock separation - as if this were related to some power-saving settings (as there is a second battery in the keyboard dock)... [Bug 1862081] Re: Gnome resizes framebuffer when playing fullscreen video over and over again (when using X11 fractional scaling)
Okay...so there is hope to get this at least "bypassed" for 20.04 - this would be awesome! btw: before this became a regular problem (don't ask me when - but I didn't have this problem some 2-3 month before), I had this effect when I detached my keyboard from my 2-in-1 Toshiba z20t-c. Interestingly, the keyboard should only add a second battery to the computer (and the keyboard + trackpad). I don't understand, why this triggered this strange fullscreen-video-behaviour -> I wouldn't attribute it to some energy-management, as the problem persisted when attaching the power cable directly to the PC... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1862081 Title: Gnome resizes framebuffer when playing fullscreen video over and over again (when using X11 fractional scaling) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1862081/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1862081] Re: Gnome resizes framebuffer when playing fullscreen video over and over again (when using X11 fractional scaling)
Hello Daniel, I'd love to use Wayland - but the graphics are worse. Even in unscaled mode, there is horrible text-rendering and when scaling, some apps go blurry (I know, that this can be handled for e.g. firefox - but there are other apps, which aren't "fixed")... Would it be a workaround to have a one-pixel-sized (maybe even transparent?) always-on-top app without window decorations etc., which you would place somewhere "out-of-sight", like a corner? Is something like this maybe already available?
I'd like to add that the problem doesn't occur, when there is another (pinned) window in the foreground! [Bug 996507] Re: ampache installer doesn't create apache2 configuration
Where could I find the install log? I tried answering the debconf-questions all ways and combinations: lighttpd AND/OR apache2, restart yes OR no I've never seen /etc/apache2/sites-available/AmpacheApache and ampvhadd was not created. However, if I take the DEB (all) of the latest 3.5-release, the ampvhadd is created! I had to symlink it manually to /etc/apache2/sites-enabled to get in working (having had to modify it, too, du to some access forbidden errors with the original ampvhadd file). If you provide me with instructions on how to create a better report for you, I can run the new installer again! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/996507 Title: ampache installer doesn't create apache2 configuration To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ampache/+bug/996507/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 996507] [NEW] ampache installer doesn't create apache2 configuration
Public bug reported: When installing ampache 3.6~alpha1-0ubuntu6 on a Ubuntu 12.04 server, the installer asks wether to create the lighttpd and ampache configs, but fails to create the ampache configuration file. The subsequent error message is: Something weird has happened, unable to create ampache vhost. which is surely because there ist no such file in /et/ampache to be symlinked!
