[Bug 572622] Re: kubuntu lucid crashes during manual partition
I use i386 32bits version, happened to me too: attaching partitions (ext3 and fat32) on non-default location. After returning to live desktop I tried again and succeeded. I chose btw to remain on the safe side and created only mount points from one physical hard disk. mount points: /dev/sda5 /windows ntfs /dev/sda6 /winlinux fat32 (non-standard mount point) /dev/sda7 / ext4 /dev/sda9 /home /ext4 (/dev/sda10 swap) On the failed attempt I also tried to create mount points /dev/sdb2 /backupext3 ext3 /dev/sdb3 /backupfat32 fat32 I cannot determine on which mount point the installer crashed. -- kubuntu lucid crashes during manual partition https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/572622 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 110678] Re: [apport] gftp-gtk crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_ctree_is_viewable()
I am running easy peasy 1.5 (based on 9.04) from live usb stick. I had a running connection to the ftp server when I tried to upload 2 other directories. Then gftp crashed -- [apport] gftp-gtk crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_ctree_is_viewable() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/110678 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 273833] Re: v86d missing from initramfs
1. This bug is marked as invalid, but I observe the same when booting Kubuntu i386 Live CD RC (from kubuntu-8.10-rc-desktop-i386.iso). 2. This bug looks like bug 274346 and bug 246269, but I am not sure -- v86d missing from initramfs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/273833 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 246269] Re: Switched from vesafb to uvesafb, but uvesafb can't work without v86d
According to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/246269/comments/71 a fix was released. 1. I am however not sure, if it is fixed for 8.10 final only? RC of Kubuntu Live CD (kubuntu-8.10-rc-desktop-i386.iso) shows still shows the bug. The boot stalls for half a minute, but then continues. On completion of boot I observe no further effects. 2. You can't use any workaround if you use a live cd, and I am not sure whether you want to accept this behavior to remain on every live session you do. -- Switched from vesafb to uvesafb, but uvesafb can't work without v86d https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/246269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Same happens on Mint KDE 2.2 (filelight 0.99beta6-1ubuntu1). Probably not a surprise.
