[Bug 247171] Re: On reboot ubuntu 8.04 getting stuck

2008-07-12 Thread ranjith
Well, I think you gave you a little wrong information. On reboot, it
actually closes all programs and then the ubuntu logo with the progress
bar comes up before shutting down. The progress bar moves to the right
and when it reaches the end , it gets stuck. So its getting stuck even
before shutting down completely. But this only happens on using the
reboot.

It happens always on every reboot.

On reboot, the ubuntu logo comes up and the progress bar is seen ..and
then gets stuck at that point. Happens always at that point.

[Bug 247171] Re: On reboot ubuntu 8.04 getting stuck

2008-07-10 Thread ranjith
It started if I am right couple of days back. I installed ubuntu 8.04
in a new dell 330 Desktop machine. Before doing any updates, I dont
think there was a problem with the reboot. Then I installed the updates
using the update manager. And this probably triggered the reboot
problem.

Yes!
I have same problem on my thinkpad t42p
NIC
Vendor: Atheros Communications, Inc.
Device: AR5212 802.11abg NIC

Did not have this issue on dapper. Looks like it has popped up in edgy.

This is very annoying when downloading streaming media or browsing AJAX
based websites.
