[Bug 1849711] [NEW] Only GRUB2 have MAX BRIGHTNESS in 19.04 and 19.10

2019-10-24 Thread raza
Public bug reported:

whenever I boot into Ubuntu the grub 2 boot loader have maximum brightness but
after selecting Ubuntu OS, system return to its normal brightness value ,
previously my Ubuntu version is 19.04 and this problem exists but after
upgrading to 19.10 this issue still there and nothing works by upgrading
system, grub remains at high brightness value (even function keys not working
at that time). Every time i reboot the system the grub 2 have max brightness
and it returns to normal brightness after reaching to log on screen and then
everything works fine even functions keys also working.

#27 on Unbuntu 16.04 doesn't work anymore, gives same "package not met"
error:

configure: error: Package requirements (libusbmuxd >= 1.0.9) were not met:

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables libusbmuxd_CFLAGS and

[Bug 1634449] Re: Black flicker when leaving monitor

2016-12-16 Thread Saleem Raza
Hello Linux Community,

I just installed Ubuntu 16.04 a couple of days ago on my new Lenovo T560
laptop, I have an other 27 inch display connected to my docking station.
I am also feeling an issue with black line flickering around at random
time whenever I move cursor on the Chrome.

I have dual boot system with Windows 10, everything works fine in
windows 10. But in Ubuntu 16.04 I am facing this issue which is
annoying. I disabled the hardware acceleration on chrome but then my
screen image breaks like a old mp3 movie or distortion kind of thing at
different parts of my lcd screen. But again i enabled the hardware
acceleration the black line on the upper side of my monitor flickers at
every random time. Its annoying.

Can some tell me, which kernel version should i switch to, to avoid this
annoying issue.

Thank you so much.

BR Saleem

Still happening in 16.04 LTS - the workaround of keep pushing mouse to
left (as if trying mouse arrow to leave screen) works.

[Bug 606238] Re: synaptic touchpad not recognized on dell latitude e6510 and others

2012-11-23 Thread Ahsan Raza
Hello,

I can confirm that the patch, psmouse-alps-dst-0.4 is working fine and
now i have following features on Dell Inspiron N5110:

1) Touch to Click.
2) DIsable Touchpad While Typing.
3) Two Finger Scrolls
4) Edge Scroll
5) Disable touchpad by FN+F3

After installing the patch you might have sluggish TouchPad, to fix it, open
terminal and type:

synclient AccelFactor=5
synclient MaxSpeed=3

Reboot again, and it will be like Windows 7 like touchpad.

(Tested in Linux Mint 12)

Best,

Ahsan
