I tried every single solution, even #69, and nothing worked for me. Not sure what I could try in order to help. [Bug 165521] Re: font variants information ignored
I have the same problem with Inkscape 0.46 (Oct 24 2008) : Some font variants are not shown in the fonts selector. I join 2 font sets : + Day Roman : a ttf font. Under Fontmatrix there is the Day Roman family with Regular and Expert variants. Under Inkscape there is only Normal and the faked Italic/Bold + Existence : a otf font but splited into several files. Under Fontmatrix there is the Existence family with Light, Stencil Light and Unicase Light.
