[Bug 1072887] Re: indicator-datetime-service crashed with SIGSEGV in update_appointment_menu_items()

2012-11-15 Thread robod
It seems to be happening everytime I logon for the first time after a
reboot (I normally suspend). I've upgraded from 12.04. The description
is exactly the same as above.

Hi there,
Just a little bump and confirmation that this is still an issue in Natty.
Behaviour the same as previous Ubuntu versions...

[Bug 399573] Re: ecafe ec-900 Fn+vol Keys render System useless

2010-08-20 Thread robod
Hi there,
I've used appport to upload info about my system. In a hindsight it was
probably too much information. Sorry about that. Dmesg is in apport report and
I've attached the other two as requested.
There is absolutely no info or warning message in any of the logs when it
happens, so it's difficult to be more specific as I can't tell where exactly it
happens.
Probably need to enable some debugging in X or acpi(?) and press the buttons to
collect more information. However I'm not sure how

[Bug 496093] Re: [lucid] rt2860 frequently fails to connect to mixed mode WPA/WPA2 secured wireless networks

2010-07-04 Thread robod
Hi there,

This is just to confirm that this issue still doesn't seem to be
resolved (unless I've missed something).

$lspci -vnn | grep RaLink
02:00.0 Network controller [0280]: RaLink RT2860 [1814:0781]
Subsystem: RaLink Device [1814:2790]

ii linux-backports-modules-wireless-lucid-generic 2.6.32.23.24

$ lsmod |grep rt2860

$ modinfo rt2860sta
filename: /lib/modules/2.6.32-23-generic/updates/staging/rt2860sta.ko
version:2.1.0.0
[snip]

$tail -f /var/log/messages

Jul  5 00:08:50 robonb1 kernel: [ 1350.154230] ===>rt_ioctl_giwscan. 2(2) BSS
returned, data->length = 270

I believe that the symptoms above are in-line with what was already
mentioned. It seems that the RT driver 2.1.0.0 included in the backport
modules still doesn't work properly.

I'm using WPA/WPA2 with hidden SSID.

Hope this helps ...

2010-06-14 Thread robod
Hi there,

I just want to confirm that this problem is still present in Lucid (as well as
all previous releases - tried 9.10, 9.04).
Not sure if there is anything else we can collect/try/test to help to get this
resolved.

[Bug 472315] [NEW] BUG: Bad page state in process mkfs.ext4 pfn:0be47

2009-11-03 Thread robod
Public bug reported:

I was just creating a new filesystem. It was ext3 before. I've removed all my
files, unmounted it and ran "mkfs.ext4 /dev/sda4" which finished successfully.
This is probably a kernel problem, rather than mkfs problem. Right?
The only thing that may be relevant is that the system was just brought up from
hibernation about 10 minutes earlier.

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: Your system might become unstable now and might need to be
restarted.

[Bug 471742] [NEW] [Hercules EC-900] late resume failure

2009-11-02 Thread robod
Public bug reported:

This happened after hibernating the system using kernel. It's actually
an improvement in comparison to jaunty kernels as they simply died when
hibernating. This one seems like it worked, but during boot swapon said
something about swap containing hibernated image and system then booted
normally.

I was using uswsusp (configured in /etc/pm/config.d/00sleep_module,
which worked OK. However I wanted to know if the new kernel on karmic
works better. Looks like it doesn't :-).

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous hibernate and prevented it from
resuming properly. The resume processing hung very near the end and will have
appeared to have completed normally.

[Bug 102947] Re: ERR: authdaemon: s_connect() failed: No such file or directory

2009-09-06 Thread robod
Hi there,
This is just to confirm that this is still happening in 9.04. It's purely
maildrop issue, fetchmail has nothing to do with it. You can test it by calling:
maildrop -d
It will issue the error message. Looks like maildrop was compiled to be a part
of courier. As mentioned above Courier-authlib is installed, but not running.

Nevertheless the email is still delivered. So, it can be probably
ignored or if it annoys you, change fetchmail to use procmail instead...
