[Bug 1244285] Re: Date/time sometimes doesn’t appear in menu bar, settings greyed out (Ubuntu 13.10)

2013-11-29 Thread rong hua
WRONG SOLUTION. Has nothing to do with reboot or kill. A bit of
thinking. Has everything to do with matching repository server to
your region. In my case, time region was China, but repo server was UK.
Changing server to China solved the problem, permanently. Best tool for
this is Synaptic. very easy user install problem to correct.

Re: [Bug 691775] Re: how to save printer settings in OO?

2011-01-01 Thread rong hua
HI:

After some weeks of trials, I think I found the the answer.

Create a new, default template! By formatting and configuring a blank
document (including the printer settings), and then saving as default, OO
then defaults to the right settings.

[Bug 691775] [NEW] how to save printer settings in OO?

2010-12-17 Thread rong hua
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Open Office will not save the changes made under printer settings/properties
and printer settings/options.
This means before each time I wish to print, I must change the properties to
get the right paper size (A4) and the options (reversed pages order) to get the
correct settings.
I want to be able to set OO printer settings to the correct defaults, such that
the defaults are correct each time I start OO.
thank you.

** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
