[Bug 183364] Re: [hardy] lost sound when upgraded from 2.6.24-3-generic to 2.6.24-4-generic
Same here, sound broke today when I upgraded to 2.6.24-12. [Bug 55045] Re: local DAAP shares not listed
This is really frustrating. I set up SSH port forwarding so I could access my home mt-daap server from work. Rhythmbox is seriously defective if it can't pick up a local share and play music from it. Please fix this bug as soon as you are able. Why was this developed this way? Guess I'll try Amarok or other music players to see if I can get at the share. -- local DAAP shares not listed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/55045 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 27014] Re: evolution bug, Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync
Andrey, you might as well give it up. This bug is nearly two years old. Evolution is a steaming pile of crap that is trying to emulate / copy an even bigger steaming pile of crap, namely MS LookOut! Like many of us, you're probably stuck having to connect to an Exchange server to read your company email, so I'd suggest abandoning Evolution altogether and using Windows XP + Outlook inside of a VMWare machine. This bug is nearly two years old - I wouldn't hold my breath on a fix coming anytime soon. -- evolution bug, Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/27014 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 27014] Re: evolution bug, Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync
Thanks, Jamie, but I've stopped using Evolution for the time being. I will keep your note for future reference. [Bug 73415] Re: Sound only mono until mute/unmute master volume
Correct. Sound only comes from the right speaker after booting up. It doesn't come from both speakers until I mute and unmute the sound. -- Sound only mono until mute/unmute master volume https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/73415 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 27014] Re: evolution bug, Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync
This really is a deal-breaker. I can't have my mail client locking up like this several times a day. Given the age of the bug I'm surprised no one has been able to fix it. Can you just borrow some working code from the Mozilla Thunderbird team? (I kid, I kid . . . ) I'm running Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 on an IBM Thinkpad T41: 1. Download mail into local mbox spool, /var/spool/mail/username 2. Attempt to open mail with Evolution 3. Get several duplicate messages and error box 4. Restart evolution and cross fingers hoping it will resolve itself 5. Lather, rinse, repeat If someone can tell me what error/debug/log files you need to troubleshoot I will be happy to post them for you. -- evolution bug, Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/27014 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 27014] Re: evolution bug, Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync
For others experiencing the same bug, I found that opening the mail spool with mutt seems to clean up whatever problems were introduced by Evolution. After opening and closing with mutt, I am again able to read my messages in Evolution. -- evolution bug, Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/27014 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 76238] Re: Slow boot, stalls on Starting Basic Networking
An upstart bug indeed! If this bug is caused by the computer looking for a network connection at boot, is there a way to turn this off? I never establish a connection until AFTER I'm logged in, via Gnome Network Manager / wifi. I don't want my laptop trying to get online until I'm already logged in. -- Slow boot, stalls on Starting Basic Networking https://launchpad.net/bugs/76238 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 76238] Problem solved - sendmail-bin was the culprit
Ok, so I dug a little deeper and found that there are two packages for sendmail, sendmail and sendmail-bin. I didn't realize that sendmail-bin was installed. [Bug 76238] Slow boot, stalls on Starting Basic Networking
Public bug reported: I turned off the 'quiet' parameter in /boot/grub/menu.lst to try narrow down the problem. The boot messages just fly by until it reaches Starting Basic Networking where it stalls for over a minute. This did not happen on Dapper, it only started popping up after I upgraded to Edgy.
