I have same symptoms.

I have always this message in boot :
PCI: Failed to allocate mem resource #0:xx at xx for :04:00.2

This is the number of texas chipset... A reason of detection failure for texas 
card controller ? I have a HP pavillon zv5000
The last version of feisty failed to detect SD card.

It don't work at home Can it be a problem of allocation ?
I repeat messages of 'dmesg' :
