[Bug 590508] Re: Standby works every second time
Hi, thank you to follow up on this. I think this bug can be closed since I am the only one who is affecting by this. The bug still occours with 12.04 LTS but an easy workaround is to use the suspend button instead of closing the lid. So, let's close this bug as others seem to be more important. Thank you! [Bug 1010349] Re: Evolution address book inaccessible without killing one time "e-addressbook-factory"
I am a bit surprised to see 'low' as 'importance' for this bug. As far as I understood Ubtuntu 12.04 LTS users are not able to sync their evolution contacts with google on a permanent basis - like me. This is preventing Ubuntu LTS users to use Ubuntu LTS as real world workstation without additional fallbacks like M$. LTS versions are supposed to work for people and companies that need a resilient system, right? Please consider that evolution was the preferred solution before Ubuntu 12.04. I think the importance of this bug is not representing the real impact for Ubuntu LTS users therefore. I am not able to code the things which are necessary to solve this bug but I am absolutly happy to support with whatever I can do to solve this issue. Please give me guidance on how to support you! [Bug 590508] [NEW] Standby works every second time
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: acpid First of all I am not sure if acpid is really the correct package or causing the issue at all but I guess it is likely. I configured Gnome through the on board GUI to bring my laptop to standby mode when I close the lid. This works perfectly for the 1st, the 3rd, the 5th ... n times where n can't be divided by 2. [Bug 421820] Re: [karmic] Pulseaudio keeps taking more and more memory
This Bug happens in ubuntu x64 (stable release) too. Makes every system unusable after some time. After a day, pulseaudio consumes 3 of 4 G of RAM and 2G swap. It eats up ~ 0,4 Meg every 5 seconds directly after the system has started. This happens until the system is unable to handle this issue. I think this is really a major issue because the system is getting unusable slow after some time. Please note that no audio application is running (except the default Ubuntu system sounds). [Bug 187335] Re: Unlock button throws an error, doesn't authenticate
In response to Gilbert Mendoza's post regarding to Martin Pitt's solution about editing the policy, if you are having issues modifying the policy open a terminal window and type the following sudo polkit- gnome-authorization, then edit the policy listed above and the unlock buttons will work from a remote location. I just did it on my machine and I have a windows session running via Xnest. -- Unlock button throws an error, doesn't authenticate https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187335 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

What is > you network configuration (wired, wireless) ? > I use the Network Manager (nm-applet 0.6.5) for my wired conecction. The IP address is assigned over dhcp at boot time. There is no iptables setup on my machine. The complete network configuration is Ubuntu's installation default. The distribution is up to date. I was able to reproduce this issue on my laptop with the same software enviroment but over a wireless link. The wireless Interface uses the bcm43xx module. The wireless card is a build in Broadcom BCM4306 (rev 03). I think this is not releated to my hardware because the same thing happens on two completely different computers. [Bug 216847] [NEW] sshd will not start at boot
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openssh-server The sshd will not start at boot if the ListenAddress option in /etc/ssh/sshd_config is set to an IPv4 address other then 0.0.0.0 . I am using Ubuntu 7.10 and the version 1:4.6p1-5ubuntu0.2 of the openssh-server package. I would expect that sshd is started after boot but it will not and I found this in /var/log/auth.log: sshd[4527]: error: Bind to port 22 on 10.1.1.22 failed: Cannot assign requested address. sshd[4527]: fatal: Cannot bind any address. Once the System is started you can start/stop the sshd with the /etc/init.d/ssh script without any problems. ** Affects: openssh (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- sshd will not start at boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216847 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
