This problem seems to be worsening. I had to see this problem only in Kubuntu in Beta 1. However, I will check the current Daily Build, I encountered this in all flavors (not Lubuntu). As a workaround for this problem, hit the key immediately after boot, and select the Language in the start-up menu of the CLI. As a result this issue does not encounter. I'm using Xubuntu 14.04 as my default OS in work and I'm afraid of loosing my personal data while trying new kernel. If my laptop crashes, I will not have enough time to rebuild it. I'am using the dell inspirion 640m with the latest bios update from dell rev 05 I believe. and working now back on edgy for a month and half . so i still cross my finger every time I boot but for so far it seems that dell did something in the bios updates . Tis occurs alson on edgy with an dell inspiron 640m .
