Re: [Bug 230999] Re: ata1: hard resetting port

2008-08-29 Thread sergevn
I changed the sata cable of that particular disk and now the problem
seems to be solved.
Not having problems for a week now, it used to be a few times a day.

Cheers.

The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for
 the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team
 would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu
 kernel.
There are one of two ways you should be able to test:

 1) If you are comfortable installing packages on your own, the linux-
image-2.6.27-* package is currently available for you to install and
 test.

 --or--

 2) The upcoming Alpha5 for Intrepid Ibex 8.10 will contain this newer
2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel. Alpha5 is set to be released Thursday Sept 4.
Please watch http://www.ubuntu.com/testing for Alpha5 to be announced.
You should then be able to test via a LiveCD.

Please let us know immediately if this newer 2.6.27 kernel resolves
 the
bug reported here or if the issue remains. More importantly, please
open a new bug report for each new bug/regression introduced by the
2.6.27 kernel and tag the bug report with 'linux-2.6.27'. Also,
 please
specifically note if the issue does or does not appear in the 2.6.26
kernel. Thanks again, we really appreicate your help and feedback.

Also I cant switch to other terminals (ctrl+f1 for example)
If I use numlock or capslock, the function works but the keyboard lights arent
changeing.
When booting ubuntu the keyboard works just fine, until Xorg is started.

I hope this is enough information.

[Bug 210278] [NEW] [hardy] cheese crashes

2008-04-01 Thread sergevn
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: cheese

When I try to start cheese it crashes with this output:

The program 'cheese' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 50 error_code 11 request_code 140 minor_code 19)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
