responding ) when I started writing in chat window.

[Bug 205397] Re: wireless card not workng hardy

2008-04-09 Thread SFN
I'm experiencing an issue that, while not identical, appears to be close
enough to be the same issue.

My wireless card was working Gutsy but doesn't in Hardy. The lights
never come on on mine though. Same for Bluetooth but I'm concerned about
that. I've got an Acer TravelMate 8210-6245.

Like Cody's situation, the restricted driver manager also only shows my
graphics driver.

lshw -class network provides the following info (MAC address
obfuscated by me):

[Bug 213863] Re: trying to overwrite `/usr/share/icons/hicolor/16x16/apps/lpi-bug.png', which is also in package liblaunchpad-integration0

2008-04-08 Thread SFN
How would one go about upgrading to 0.1.19 when it doesn't show
available either via Synaptic or when doing an apt-get upgrade?

I should add, and there's no download link listed.

SFN:
click refresh in synaptic, or type sudo apt-get update in terminal

if version 0.1.19 does not show up then wait for a while before trying
again.

OK. I've been doing that. I'll just wait.

Thanks.

2008-04-08 Thread SFN
0.1.19 became available. Upgraded. Works fine.

Also, after fixing that, 29 more packages became available for upgrade
and 2 more from dist-upgrade. Upgraded those without issue.

[Bug 212828] Re: open link in browser from evolution does not open Firefox after upgrade

2008-04-07 Thread SFN
I can confirm having the same problem after upgrading to Beta 5.
However, checking Preferrred Applications showed Custom under the Web
Browser.

Changing to Firefox from the drop-down list resolved this issue for
me.

[Bug 210538] Re: gdm hangs after theme upgrade and reboot

2008-04-03 Thread SFN
commenting that line in /usr/share/gdm/themes/HumanList/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
worked for me.

I can confirm the same results here, although I'm using UbuntuStudio so
what I had to change was
/usr/share/gdm/themes/UbuntuStudio/gtk-2.0/gtkrc.

Tried earlier suggested workaround of

sudo cp /usr/share/themes/Human/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
/usr/share/themes/Human/gtk-2.0/gtkrc.en

again substituting UbuntuStudio for Human but it didn't help. In
fact it didn't result in /usr/share/themes/Human/gtk-2.0/gtkrc.en
existing even though I received no errors.

For the record, I'm on an Acer TravelMate 8210-6245. (Intel Core 2 Duo
T5500, 2GB DDR2 RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon X1600)
