[Bug 517554] [NEW] gnome-panel loses focus on second screen
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel system: Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala, gnome-panel 2.28.0 In a dual-head, dual screen configuration, gnome-panel loses focus when on display:0.1. No problems on display:0.0. To reproduce: - Click on a button in the Window List, to minimize a window. - The first click succeeds, and the window minimizes, but the focus is lost. - Any other click on the same button or other buttons in the panel are uneffective. - To regain the focus, move the mouse outside the panel and move in again. This happens to the panel's pop-up windows, like preferences. ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-panel loses focus on second screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/517554 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 277391] Re: Intrepid system freeze on dell XPS 1330
** Description changed: I am getting random system crashes (blinking caps num lock lights) on my Intrepid AMD64 laptop. I have kept up to date with packages, including all kernel package updates. [Bug 277391] Re: Intrepid system freeze on dell XPS 1330
Same problem here, but maybe I found something. First, HW/SW description: Dell m1330 Ubuntu 8.10 kernel 2.6.27-9-generic wifi driver iwlagn wifi card Intel PRO Wireless 4965 As the others, no problem in Hardy, crashes after update to Intrepid. Installed linux-backports-modules-intrepid and everything got working fine. Now, yesterday to test another Dell laptop (with broadcom wifi card and lots of other problems) I changed my router's WLAN mode from 108 MBit/s automatic to g and b. After dong that, today I got four of five crashes (as described above: caps and num lock blinking, switch-off needed). Then I set back the mode to 108 MBit/s automatic and I'm online since hours without crashes. This may explain why in the hotel described above with some routers it crashes with others not. It may depend on router config. Hope this helps. -- Intrepid system freeze on dell XPS 1330 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/277391 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

...of course I'm talking about crashes on my m1330 which uses the same router I was reconfiguring to test the other laptop.
