[Bug 1079933] Re: [Lenovo T530, W530]: External display does not work through Display port or VGA
After updating to 13.04, the external VGA port is accessable on my T530 through xrandr (using intel graphics), so it may very well be a driver issue. Haven't tried the hotkeys yet. However, the display port still doesn't work, even when switching to nvidia graphics in the BIOS. I don't know how the graphics chips are wired to the external display ports, it could be that the display port accessability is an nvidia driver issue and not accessible from the intel chipset at all. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1079933 Title: [Lenovo T530, W530]: External display does not work through Display port or VGA To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1079933/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 760131] Re: Power consumption raised significantly in natty
A slight decrease in power usage, dropping from 33 to 30.5 Watts according to powertop on a Thinkpad R500. Better than nothing, but still a long way from the sub 20 Watts I used to be able to get with ubuntu 10.04 and before. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/760131 Title: Power consumption raised significantly in natty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-release-notes/+bug/760131/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 714682] Re: Terminal does not close after shell exits
Indeed that seems to be the case; launching urxvt with +hold works as expected. It seems the compiled in default for that setting changed from 10.10 to 11.04. On my 10.10 systems urxvt works as if +hold were given without any explicit value set for this option. I'd urge to change the default back, as xterm and previous versions of urxvt behaved differently. [Bug 718086] [NEW] Breaks display of ATI Mobility Radeon HD3400 series
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.38-3-generic After updating the kernel from linux-image-2.6.38-2-generic to linux- image-2.6.38-3-generic (both amd64 versions), the display breaks. The text console remains blank, even when booting with init=/bin/sh kernel parameter; the graphics mode under X (default gdm) first produces a whiteout where the pixels from the center of the display turn white, expanding to fill the entire display over a period of ~5 seconds, followed by a blackout, where the pixels again from the center out turn black. [Bug 714682] [NEW] Terminal does not close after shell exits
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rxvt-unicode After the shell within urxvt is terminated (tested by exiting with ^D and the 'exit' command), the terminal window remains open. The urxvt process is still present (status S and not doing much of anything). Clicking on the 'close' widget results in the terminal window closing and the process terminating.
