[Bug 24946] Re: Detected scanner fails to load with "Invalid Argument"
I want to report that my scanner, a HP PSC 1350 stopped working in Hardy. When opening xsane, I get the following error message: Failed to open device 'v4l:/dev/video0': Invalid argument. I do even never see the main window. The PSC 1350 is a all in one device, the printer still working. Scanning worked in all versions before Hardy. If you need further information, please don't hesitate to contact me. Here is the output of some commands: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo sane-find-scanner [sudo] password for ingo: # sane-find-scanner will now attempt to detect your scanner. [Bug 204566] Re: Rhythmbox keeps trying to install codecs
I have studied the behaviour of this bug in the recent days, and found out that this does not seem to be a problem directly resulting from a problem with Rhythmbox. It occurs, because everytime I start Rhythmbox, it keeps reindexing certain files, which can't be imported at all. They are listed under "Import Errors" and deleted again when I close Ryhthmbox, while indexed again when I restart it. That is why this message box (although I don't try to start such a errenous song at all) is displayed all the time. Actually I'm not content with that behaviour, because it keeps my externahl hard drive, on which I store my music, busy all the time and thereby stresses it extremely, shortening its lifetime. -- Rhythmbox keeps trying to install codecs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204566 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 204701] [NEW] Serial Port flashing tool no longer working (asuroflash)
Public bug reported: After compiling the program "asuroflash", v 1.6, from source (http://download.gna.org/asuro-tools/), it is not possible to flash your ASURO robot at all. If you select a program and click on "flash", the program crashes with the following error message: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Programming/ASURO$ asuroflash GLib-ERROR **: The thread system is not yet initialized. aborting... [Bug 130213] Re: rhtmbox doesn't play the next song after first song finished
I want to inform you that I have also experienced this bug through Ubuntu 7.04 - 8.04 Beta, which I am using at the moment. The bug looks like this: You start a song, it plays till one second before the end and from that point on hangs. The status is not changed to "stop" or anything, it is still "playing" but it will never play the next song. You have to double click on another song for rhythmbox to be playing again. -- rhtmbox doesn't play the next song after first song finished https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/130213 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 204566] [NEW] Rhythmbox keeps trying to install codecs
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox The basic behaviour of this bug is, that rhyhtmbox generally asks me "Search for suitable codecs?" although I had previously installed them through rhythmbox. I can even play the songs the codecs are tried to installed for. Moreover, if I click on "search", after the search is completed, the new window reports "There is no matching application available." Well, obviously there is not, since I have installed the codecs before. ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Rhythmbox keeps trying to install codecs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204566 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 204564] [NEW] Rhythmbox plays two songs at the same time, can't be stopped
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox I opened this bug again because it is obviously not fixed in hardy yet. Sometimes Rhythmbox plays two or more songs at the same time, one of them can not be stopped. I have the crossfading plugin enabled, and it apparently is the reason for this bug.
