[Bug 1375821] Re: ifupdown doesn't bring loopback to state up

2015-02-25 Thread telmich
Hello,

we are a hosting provider in Switzerland and are running some Ubuntu
14.04. instances. This bug hits some of our customers, as essentially
services on localhost are unavailable.

This pretty much renders *any* service useless that accesses another
service on the same box (i.e. breaks mailman setup, breaks nginx proxy
configurations, ...).

I wonder if this can be fixed quickly for trusty?

Cheers,

Nico

[Bug 481672] Re: [lucid] ath5k phy1: no further txbuf available, dropping packet wireless drops connection after large transfer on virtualbox to the host on bridged ethernet

2010-08-08 Thread telmich
Similar (same?) issue here on 2.6.32-22-generic with hostapd running in
AP mode: When transferring a lot of data, I get the following messages:

[190164.801177] ath5k phy0: failed to warm reset the MAC Chip
[190164.801189] ath5k phy0: can't reset hardware (-5)
[190164.821089] ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration failed (2412MHz)

Restarting hostapd helps.

Thread on ath5k-devel related: http://www.mail-archive.com/ath5k-
de...@lists.ath5k.org/msg03192.html

Not sure whether it's fixed somewhere upstream or not.

[Bug 589850] [NEW] Since upgrade 9.10-10.04 dual srceen does not work anymore

2010-06-04 Thread telmich
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

When xorg is started and both VGA-0 and LVDS are connected, the screen
is pink / screwed up. Removing VGA-0 and restarting xorg or disabling
the second output via xrandr makes LVDS work. Switching to VGA-0 only
also screws up the screen.

This used to work with ubuntu 9.10 and stopped to work precisely after
the update.
