[Bug 48500] Re: In Kubuntu Dapper KDE 3.5.3 - device icons disappearing
On kubuntu Feisty the problem still exists. Checking unmounted floppy to show on the desktop has no effects. To say it is a bug one would have to know a policy for showing or not showing device icons. For sure desktop settings are not respected. -- In Kubuntu Dapper KDE 3.5.3 - device icons disappearing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/48500 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 88727] excessive CD notification in concurrent sessions
Public bug reported: I use Kubuntu Edgy. When I run two concurrent KDE sessions and in one of them I insert and remove a CD several times I get notification popups in both sessions. I think this is a bug, receiving notifications in both sessions. When after some time I switch to the other session I have my desktop littered with popups. And all of them beside (presumably) the last one are no longer up to date. ** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu) Importance: Wishlist Status: Confirmed -- excessive CD notification in concurrent sessions https://launchpad.net/bugs/88727 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 50908] Re: Selecting CD-ROM device is inconsistent and unnecessarily difficult
Your welcome. Yes the bug is reproducable on edgy. The CD-ROM device chooser and audio device chooser are really file choosers not device choosers. It's actually impossible to use them in accordance with description, they don't allow You to choose devices (A message You can only select local files is not really helpful nor informative). Another thing which probably qualifies for a separate bug entry is a situation when cdrom device is somehow blocked by another program and audio backend is arts (it happens to me when I run vmware with Windows on it). The error message says to check access rights to /dev/hdb and those rights are perfectly ok (660 root:cdrom), the problem lies somewhere else. Sorry for complaning so much :-). -- Selecting CD-ROM device is inconsistent and unnecessarily difficult https://launchpad.net/bugs/50908 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 48004] Re: HDA Intel sound card controls - regression
Hi, sorry for not responding for so long, had a month of vacation :-). Ok, so running edgy from the live cd changes nothing, sound controls still don't match my hardware. -- HDA Intel sound card controls - regression https://launchpad.net/bugs/48004 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 48004] Re: HDA Intel sound card controls - regression
I've upgraded my system to Edgy. There is no change for better considering the reported problem. As far as I can tell now there is no signal for rear speakers available from either output or input. And still no mixer for headphone output. -- HDA Intel sound card controls - regression https://launchpad.net/bugs/48004 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I can't reproduce the bug anymore on Kubuntu Dapper with KDE 3.5.4. It seems to be fixed. -- media:/ does not handle floppy mounting correctly https://launchpad.net/bugs/30207 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 46917] Re: various segmentation faults when using Data Devices(???) panel.
On Dapper with KDE 3.5.4 the first one still holds (although with different dump): going to properties of unmounted CD-Burner and clicking twice on Default button (without selecting anything from the list actually) causes a crash. [Bug 53884] Floppy is inaccessible from gui
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: konqueror I'am using Kubuntu Dapper 6.06, my konqueror version is 3.5.3. I have problem accesing my floppy disk using konqueror. When I click on floppy disk entry in Storage Media tree, the floppy gets mounted but its contents is not displayed. Also I can't find an entry in menu to unmount the floppy. Manually navigating to virtual directory media:/fd0/ shows no contents either. To see the floppy content I have to manually enter the path /media/floppy0. The entry in /etc/fstab for a floppy in my system looks like this: /dev/fd0/media/floppy0 vfatrw, user, noauto 0 0 A directory structure in /media looks like this: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/media$ ls -la razem 21 drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 4096 2006-07-23 00:57 . drwxr-xr-x 21 root root 4096 2006-07-18 12:29 .. lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 6 2006-05-15 09:42 cdrom - cdrom0 dr-xr-xr-x 1 root root 2048 2006-07-11 21:14 cdrom0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 2006-07-23 00:57 floppy - floppy0 drwxr-xr-x 2 tomek tomek 7168 1970-01-01 01:00 floppy0 This setup works in nautilus. It doesn't work in krusader either, clicking the floppy icon in Media menu mounts a floppy, but the mouse cursor goes into wait mode forever and floppy content doesn't show up. ** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Floppy is inaccessible from gui https://launchpad.net/bugs/53884 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 50908] Selecting CD-ROM device is inconsistent and unnecessarily difficult
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kscd In Extras-Configure KsCD... one can choose CD-ROM device. On my machine it is by default system:/media/hdb. But when I click an icon for selecting files (next to device listbox), change nothing in a window that appears and confirm the selection it gets rejected with a message like: You can only select local files. Another thing is that I can select all kinds of files in this file selection dialog, but I didn't manage to select system:/media/hdb once that I've changed it. I had to write it by hand. So this dialog isn't very helpful in selecting CD-ROM device. ** Affects: kdemultimedia (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Selecting CD-ROM device is inconsistent and unnecessarily difficult https://launchpad.net/bugs/50908 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
