Disabled gapless support, still no luck

Here is the log file . I noticed line 82 [1 Debug 20:01:19.082]
(libbanshee:player) Audiosink has volume: No

Could this be the source of the problem? Sorry I don't know much about
this stuff.

[Bug 443318] Re: Konsole LAG/Freezes when Typing - Kubuntu Karmic

2009-12-14 Thread thelinuxer
I had the same problem with my Acer Aspire 5630

After doing

sudo rmmod acer-wmi

I realized the problem was gone. So I blacklisted this module.

In file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf add the following line.

blacklist acer-wmi

Hope this helps.

[Bug 477581] [NEW] Slow terminal

2009-11-07 Thread thelinuxer
Public bug reported:

This bug is about a question asked here:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/89054

Since I upgraded to Karmic (about a month ago) I have been experiencing a
strange problem that I have never seen before.
The terminals are really slow. It's always like I am on a slow ssh connection
for instance. I type a bunch of characters and nothing appears and then after a
second or so all the characters appear.

It happens on all terminals I have on my machine. gnome-terminal,
konsole, xterm and getting a terminal by pressing CTRL+ALT+F1.

It's not related to compiz I switched off compiz and tried again and the
problem was still there.

Also I tried creating a new user and it stayed the same.

The problem happens on my laptop (cpuinfo attached to this bug), but it
doesn't happen on my desktop.

[Bug 349778] Re: [jaunty] Dell Inspiron 1525 sticks on System will now halt, works with 2.6.29

2009-04-19 Thread thelinuxer
I am using Jaunty on x86_64 Acer Aspire 5630

I used to have a 2.6.28 kernel (custom compiled) on Intrepid, and this
problem only showed up with the new 2.6.28-11 that came from Jaunty
upgrade.

[Bug 220530] Re: javaws can't load some jnlp files

2008-06-22 Thread thelinuxer
Hi guys,
I had the same problem on hardy 64bit. Here is how i solved the problem

sudo apt-get install ia32-sun-java6-bin
sudo update-alternatives --config javaws

Then I chose this option:

/usr/lib/jvm/ia32-java-6-sun/jre/bin/javaws

regards
