[Bug 317035] Re: [INTREPID]not shutdown with laptop asus x50 gl

2009-01-23 Thread tobal
Here is a possible solution about the problem
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11884 but I don't have any idea to
apply the patch, my level is very low about this.
Thanks

[Bug 317035] Re: [INTREPID]not shutdown with laptop asus x50 gl

2009-01-16 Thread tobal
I've unpacked linux-image-2.,6.27.11-generic and I've found a package known
like asus-laptop.ko in the route /lib/modules/2.6.27-11/kernel/drivers/misc, I
think this file contains the bug with my asus x50gl laptop.
This bug is in Jaunty Jackalope too, and I've tested Opensuse11.1 live cd with
gnome version and this bug is on, too.
This bug not exist in Ubuntu Hardy Heron.

Thanks

[Bug 317035] Re: [INTREPID]not shutdown with laptop asus x50 gl

2009-01-15 Thread tobal
This bug hasn't associated any package because I don't know what is the package
produces the bug. I've been thinking tonight about this problem and I think
there are two likelihood packages that they are the killers. I think that the
packages of the kernel 2.6.27 aren't be good compilates for the battery of this
laptop, because I've got installed the kernel of Hardy Heron, too, and in the
kernel of Hardy Heron it works fine, but when I run Intrrepid with the kernel
2.6.27 it doesn't work. So, I suppose that linux-image-2.6.27.11-generic
package causes the bug, but my level about linux is not sufficiently high to
know what is the really cause of the problem.
Thanks
