[Bug 275865] Re: Nautilus RAW image thumbnails have wrong orientations.
I have the same issue on Ubuntu 10.10 - Maverick Meerkat. That is surely a bug in gnome-raw-thumbnailer, not in Nautilus itself. I want to confirm once more that RAW (at least in my use case) has Orientation tag in its metadata (use exiv2 to check). We need to contact developers of gnome-raw-thumbnailer at http://gnome- raw-thumb.sourceforge.net/ so they respect orientation during thumbnail generation. Actually I suppose they already use metadata for getting embedded thumbnail from RAW. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275865 Title: Nautilus RAW image thumbnails have wrong orientations. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 642792] Re: ALT+PrtSc not recognised: breaks built-in screenshot function
I'd just change the keybindings That would break well-known user experience. Users are used to press PrintScreen/Alt+PrintScreen on all platforms (even Windows). If there's a choice between breaking SysRq and Alt+PrintScreen - we should consider breaking SysRq, because: * Making single window screenshots is much more demanded task that using SysRq * SysRq is used for debugging that itself is not ordinary use case comparing to making screenshots * SysRq has no standard use http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_request Additionally, these direclty copy to clipboard shortcuts might be useful Yes, separate keybindings for direct copying to clipboard would be very handy. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/642792 Title: ALT+PrtSc not recognised: breaks built-in screenshot function -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 695362] [NEW] Brightness keys not working
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: devicekit On my Sony VAIO VGN-FW11SR laptop backlight brightness keys are not working. When I was using Ubuntu 10.04 - it worked fine: 1) when I pressed Fn+F5 - notification appeared showing that brightness is decreasing (and brightness actually decreased) 2) when I pressed Fn+F6 - notification appeared showing that brightness is increasing (and brightness actually increased) Notification was very similar to volume control notification (it works fine though). [Bug 671947] [NEW] CANNOT UNDO MESSAGE CHANGES
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gwibber That is VERY IMPORTANT issue. I face it every time I use gwibber and it leads to dataloss every time!!! Bug is that you cannot undo your changes in message field when you type in the message! Reproduce steps: 1) Open gwibber 2) Start typing new message 3) Accidentally select some text (let's say by touchpad) 4) Type one more letter 5) See that your text is erased 6) See that you CANNOT undo this stupid change (have stupid dataloss) What I expected (as in ordinary programs): 1) By pressing Ctrl-Z inside the field I undo my previous change. By Ctrl-Y or Ctrl-Shift-Z I redo my next change. 2) By pressing right mouse button on the field I see Undo and Redo items in menu that have corresponding actions 3) In menu of program in Edit section I see Undo and Redo items in menu that have corresponding actions P.S.
