[Bug 397617] Re: brightness no more working on karmic (KMS)

[Bug 397617] Re: brightness no more working on karmic (KMS)
I have a NC10, BIOS 11CA, and cannot reproduce this problem. Out-of-the-box clean install of beta2, then updated. Brightness keys just work. If I can provide any information to further identify the bug, let me know. -- brightness no more working on karmic (KMS) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/397617 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 198724] Re: [amd64] partimage not synced
Running 9.04 amd64 here, I did the following: $ sudo aptitude remove partimage $ wget http://ftp.nl.debian.org/debian/pool/main/p/partimage/partimage_0.6.7-2_amd64.deb $ dpkg -i partimage_0.6.7-2_amd64.deb (downloaded from squueze repository, installed without errors). [Bug 174532] Re: Desktop displays root directory (/) after upgrade from Gutsy to Hardy
Using KDE4 isn't an option in the specified case, as it's not possible to upgrade to it during a gutsy->hardy upgrade. Therefor, the bug shouldn't be marked fixed, but marked WONTFIX, as all efforts seem to go to intrepid instead. In which case it's a known error that should be included in the release notes. -- Desktop displays root directory (/) after upgrade from Gutsy to Hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/174532 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 174532] Re: Desktop displays root directory (/) after upgrade from Gutsy to Hardy
OK, running xdg-user-dirs didn't fix it for me at first, came back with an error ('Can't write'). Turned out that somehow ~/.config was owned by root. chown fixed that, then running xdg-user-dirs and log-out/log-in, and everything works now. -- Desktop displays root directory (/) after upgrade from Gutsy to Hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/174532 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is subscribed to kubuntu-default-settings in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

Just to confirm: on a (reasonably fresh) 7.04 AMD system, the patch works and fixes the bug here. [Bug 109763] Re: Insert a rewriteable or blank disc when trying to use CD/DVD Creator, with blank disc in CDR drive
Same problem with a NEC DVD_RW ND-1300A. Changing the permissions as per Nelsons suggestion did fix the problem. I might add that as a workaround I burned from the commandline using sudo without problems. So it does seem to be a permission problem. This happens on a fully up-to-date Feisty 32bit, with both nautilus-burner and gnomebaker here. -- Insert a rewriteable or blank disc when trying to use CD/DVD Creator, with blank disc in CDR drive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/109763 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 83975] Re: gthumb starts with an empty window on my system
Slightly different bug here (Dell Inspiron 510m, intel 915 graphics): gthumb starts ok. Whenever I use 'View', 'Show/Hide', 'Toolbar', the window will completely disappear and become empty. So I started up gconf-editor (from a command-line, as normal user). Going to 'Apps', 'gthumb', 'ui', I toggled 'toolbar_visible' manually. Instead of toggling the toolbar, it toggles the complete display. Hi Gaele, can you confirm whether this happens with Ubuntu, Kubuntu or Xubuntu (in other words, whether it might be a Gnome bug or not)?
