[Bug 1508529] Re: Unity panels and window frames not displayed after boot

2016-06-20 Thread unsen
seems to be the same problem i have.
* occurred after upgrade to 16.04
* clean test-user didn't help
* switching display-driver from nvidia to nuveau or an alternate nvidia didnt
help.
* reinstall ubuntu-desktop didn't help

compiz-configuration-setup-manager was installed - and modified. but
before the upgrade to 16.04 unity was working (i just have had the
double-icon issue since the last upgrade therefore i decided to upgrade
16.04)

* cinnamon and Plasma desktops are working - fairly, but that#s not new
;) (one day i want to see all desktops 100% working as they should :D )

[Bug 1237343] Re: session.gc_maxlifetime ignored by garbage collector

2013-10-09 Thread unsen
seems not properly reasonend - more a workaround.

settings like these should be update-safe.
i recognised, my modified /usr/lib/php5/maxlifetime script has been overwritten
by some system-updates.

why isn't there a hook or something like that to easy configure (and
keep) such an elementary setting?

also some more hints to the garbage collector should be placed. None of
the php manuals or any other documentations are refering to it. (besides
php5-common.README.Debian - but you realy have to stumble over)

[Bug 1237343] [NEW] session.gc_maxlifetime ignored by garbage collector

2013-10-09 Thread unsen
Public bug reported:

i used to set the session livetime for a php session in .htaccess:

.htaccess:
php_value session.gc_maxlifetime 3600

so unfortuately this isn't working anymore sice the garbage collector
ist deleting unused sessions every 1440 seconds.

/usr/lib/php5/maxlifetime:

#!/bin/sh -e

max=1440
...

where 1440 seems not to be minutes but seconds!

so every configuration about session-lifetimes in any htaccess or other
confuguration files is for nothing because the garbage-collector will
delete any unused sessions every 24 Minutes.
