[Bug 1785120] [NEW] GRUB Installation Failed

2018-08-02 Thread vasanag
Public bug reported:

I am trying to install Ubuntu 18.04 or 16.04 on a new HP Pavilion laptop
with windows 10.

The installation goes normally but when reaches the point where GRUB
should install, reports the following error message

"Executing 'grub-install /dev/sda' failed"
"This is a fatal error"

I tried to install several times but with no luck.

Do you have any idea on how to overcome this?

Thanks in advance

Vassilis

[Bug 1070545] [NEW] uploading large files fails

2012-10-23 Thread vasanag
Public bug reported:

U1 tries to upload some large files (about 5 MB each) but without
success. Uploading stops before the completion and then starts from the
beginning again.

This problem occurs on my machine running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I had about
10 files with sizes between 5 and 10 Mb that they were impossible to
upload to the cloud.

Then, I moved these files to my windows XP machine (that runs U1 also)
and the files uploaded to the cloud with no problems at all.

thanks for your support

[Bug 888076] Re: large files getting uploaded again and again

2012-10-22 Thread vasanag
Just for your information.

The above mentioned problem occurs on my machine running Ubuntu 12.04.
I had about 10 files with sizes between 5 and 10 Mb that they were
impossible to upload to the cloud.

Then, I moved these files to my windows XP machine (that runs U1 also)
and the files uploaded to the cloud with no problems at all.

Seems that the problem appears only on the pc running Ubuntu.

I think that I am facing the same situation/problem here.
