[Bug 1553688] Re: Lenovo Y700-17ISK: mmc0: Unknown controller version (3)

2021-08-14 Thread Viraj Shah
"mmc0: Unknown controller version (3)" comes from the kernel source code
at:

linux/drivers/mmc/host/sdhci.c

It says mmc0 controller version is 3, which is greater than the version
prescribed in the reported kernel.
In the latest mainline kernel, I can see:

#define   SDHCI_SPEC_4205

if (host->version > SDHCI_SPEC_420) {
pr_err("%s: Unknown controller version (%d). You may experience
problems.\n",
   mmc_hostname(mmc), host->version);
}

This will also expect mmc controller version as 3.
This should be fixed if the ubuntu maintainer applies
https://www.lkml.org/lkml/2018/8/29/365
in the next release.

[Bug 1063617] Re: 1:0.9.8+bzr3319-0ubuntu1 regression: keeps setting gsettings keys to wrong values

2014-01-04 Thread Viraj Navkal
Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus -- this bug is a huge nuisance
for me as well. I have experienced it on multiple machines and on
12.10, 13.04, and 13.10.  I'd be extremely grateful for a fix!

In case anyone gets around to working on this, FYI I experience the bug
on both the keybindings set through CCSM > Desktop > Ubuntu Unity Plugin
and the keybindings set through CCSM > General > Commands. My shortcuts
are reset on most or all reboots.

There are still some issues I have with absolute mode, but I'm sure he
will appreciate more testers.

[Bug 69831] Re: get libpthread assertion on multicore CPU

2006-12-01 Thread viraj
I too saw the similar error in Sun Fire T2000 with ubuntu 6.10, mysqld

mysqld: pthread_mutex_lock.c:108: __pthread_mutex_lock: Assertion
`mutex->__data.__owner == 0' failed.

and also with pthread_mutex_lock used programs in,
pthread_mutex_lock.c:80: __pthread_mutex_lock: Assertion `mutex->__data.__owner
== 0' failed.

##WORKAROUND

These errors are not seen with ubuntu6.06 release (I downgraded the libc
with ubuntu 6.06 libc package-libc6-sparcv9v_2.3.6-0ubuntu20_sparc.deb
and able to run mysql and other multithreaded programs without this
error)
